We used TGM for our first Disney trip this year and I found it to be very helpful. I was able to lay out our days on an itinerary and compare our dates to his best/worst park days. Our neighbors are Dis vets and go several times yearly and always use his services. it's very helpful with planning which parks to hit which days and which to avoid. Loads of other helpful tips. And it's good for a couple of months after your trip too, so you can go back in and look at everything again, if you want to. He definitely knows the ins and outs of the parks, that's for sure. I'd use him again, if/when we get to make a return visit.

I used TGM last year. I signed up again, even though my next trip isn't planned until 2010(I still hope to be there sooner). The website has great advice and information about which parks to visit on which day, and there are lots of helpful people over there on those forums. Well worth the $18 when you consider how much you're spending on your WDW vacation.

Thank you! I think I'll try it!

Thanks, I think if you go back it must be worth it...the price is now 22.95 (I think) for initial sign up but still if it saves time and makes the experience run more smoothly with all the $ we are spending it's worth it. The only thing is I wish he took Paypal. I just hate putting in my CC number in websites even when they say they are secure.

Another thumbs up :thumbsup2 for TGM. Lots of helpful advice. .

The site is a little difficult to navigate at first, but there are lots of nice folks on the forums there who will help you :goodvibes .

I think if you go on the planning board, there's a discount for DIS members... Last I remember, it was $3 off (which makes it around $18-$19 dollars).

It's completely worth it! The first time I used it, I actually planned our trip around dates that he said would have low attendence, and we were able to do walk on for almost all of our rides, including Expedition Everest!!

::yes:: Yep, there's a banner at the top of the "Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies" forum for $3. off.

Great website and worth every penny! We have to go during peak season because of my ds school schedule and we never wait in line more than 15 minutes.

Have to add that we too use TGM EVERY trip we take to WDW. We always plan which parks to go to on which days according to his advice and hardly ever wait in line, even during our July trip last year. He also offers very practical reviews of all the restaurants and resorts. Great site and definitely worth the money!! In fact, I am currently waiting for a renewal discount code so that I can renew my subscription for our next trip; June or July can't decide yet!:goodvibes

Loved it! We went in June and we never waited more than 15 minutes. I followed his Best Parks to go to on certain days but not the plans so strictly. I used fast passes when available and we had a wonderful trip!

Love TGM! Went in July and only waited, at all, twice- and that was under 15 minutes. Almost everything was a walk-on following his best parks guide and touring strategies.
We renewed our subscription for our trip next year. Plus, lots of super nice folks on the forums. A great investment IMHO.

Ditto! We view our trips to Disney two ways: pre- Tour Guide Mike (TGM) and post TGM. Post TGM is waaaaay better! Definitely worth the $20!

My husband even commented on our past few trips how awesome TGM made things for us. We never waited in line more than 15 minutes, ever. We did so much more in half a day than most people do in a full, hot, sweaty day.

I too say.... YUP! A friend of mine recommended him to me, never even knew he existed until then. :thumbsup2

I wasn't really happy with TGM. I subscribed just last week hoping to get help with a a game plan on which rides to do and best days. They only give you sample touring palns which were VERY outdated. ie...DHS sample plans tells you to go to Millionaire no TSM listed. NONE of the samples have been updated since 2007. The best days were good but I have since found the website for The Unoffical Guide book (touringplans.com) and it only cost $7.95 for a YEAR not just until your next trip like TGM. i paid TGM $18.95

Touringplans gives you a very detailed touring plan for your specific days (you put in the day and if you want it for older kids or toddlers etc) Plus they list the best days to visit.

For the money I would go with touringplans.com over TGM any day!!!!

Most of the other info on TGM is very easily found on the DIS for free

We are pretty much disney veterans so I was skeptical that Mike could really help us -- but we have used his information for our last three trips and he is well worth the money. His best days charts are always right on target and he has great shortcuts, etc in his tips. Best of all, he does a good job of explaining the "why" behind his strategy. Yes, many of his ideas are here on the DIS boards, but I like how he pulls it together on his site.

Thumbs up for Mike

Lauren

I'm going to move this thread over to the TPAS forum. TGM is a frequent subject of discussion there and you'll get a wider range of opinions on that board than you will on the BB.
