I was SO lucky!!! I got to tour the Mickey Mouse Penthouse in DL Hotel!
I had signed up for the regular DLH tour ( I'm interested in the history of the parks & hotels) and there was a mix-up, so there was no tour, but to make up for it, a very nice CM took me a couple days later on my own tour including MM Penthouse. (This is where Year of a Million Dreams lucky winners stayed in 2007. The winners this year stay in an apartment in DL New Orleans area, near Club 33.)
It was AMAZING!! Living room, including little red chairs with yellow buttons (like MM's pants), 3 TV's, wall units with statues; Dining room , with MM heads on the backs of the chairs, a bar area; 2 bedrooms, The kid's bedroom had a giant round bed, and a TV/game console shaped like a mickey head; 3 baths, the kid's bath had glow in the dark grout; the adult bath had a sauna, and a TV built into the mirror;
I can't wait to get my pictures back (yes, I still use film!) It was the highlight of my trip! The CM also told me they were starting to experiment with other themed rooms like the Pirates Room, and more to come!
