Here is the master bath shower showing both shower heads:
This shows the door right next to the shower, it is a sliding door that separates the vanity area from the commode and shower area. The same door is on the door to the bathroom by the front door as well as the main door to the bathroom vanity area. The interesting thing is there are no locks on any of the bathroom doors.
Another view showing the bench in the shower:
Here is the front door--I don't think I had seen that in any photos, and I think it is very attractive:
Hidden Mickey on the bed linens:
I didn't notice the shelf over the t.v. until we took our second tour:
Small closet in the one-bedroom this was on the left just after you entered the villa and before going into the studio. It is small, and this picture shows almost the whole closet.
The closet in the master bedroom is small, too. I don't have a shot of it, but it has the safe and I believe either the high chair or porta-crib. The bedroom closet is also right behind the door which means it could be a pain at times, particularly if you got wacked when someone opened the bedroom door while you were standing in front of the closet. There is very little space for storing luggage out of site--my only fault in the design. Oh, one minor complaint--I sure wish there were two sinks in the master vanity area, but having a whole extra bathroom in the one-bedroom offsets this some.
Kitchen floor, an attractive wood look-a-like vinyl or linoleum.
Been wondering what is behind the center island in the kitchen, lots of storage and it looks like a spot for the trash can.
Last image that is actually in the studio. This is the nightstand someone asked to see. It is more like a ledge than a table, but large enough to hold what you might need by the bed. That side of the bed in the studio at SSR that I stayed in this trip has nothing--no spot for my glass of water at all.
A couple of other notes:
The desk in the master bedroom has at least three power outlets and two internet outlets. I took a picture, but it is too dark to tell for sure.
I asked the Guide to open up the sleeper chair and it looked very easy to do. The bed part is made of memory foam and looked like it would be very comfortable. The linens for the bed are stored in the ottoman/coffee table that is in front of the sofa.
I sat on every chair and sofa in all three rooms, and they are all very, very comfortable and nice feeling fabrics and material. I also like that there is not a lot of overhead lighting (which I hate). I also loved the lighting over the top of the kitchen cabinets near the ceiling. The use of so much Mickey art is so cool--I wish we had it in al of our villas--after all, he is the reason we have our
DVC.
Just from eyeballing it, I do think the studio is smaller than the one at SSR, but it is layed out so well that it would not be a problem for me. I can see where a family trying to put two kids on the sleeper sofa might find it close with the sofa pulled out. Having the vanity and kitchenette in a galley like setting means you aren't bumping into each other going from the closet to the bathroom.
If they had let us, we would have stayed and spent the night in the model. I cannot wait for our first stay. I really believe that Bay Lake Towers is going to become my favorite resort of all.
So, any questions about what we saw, ask away.
