We will be at WDW next month and I wodul liek to at leats drive through there quickly if I can. Is this possible or is it still closed off?

And if we can drive through is the pool already completed?

How do i get there from VWL?
Do I just follow signs to DTD or OKW to get me in the right direction?

I seriously doubt that you will be able to drive thru. Disney will keep this closed off until it is ready to open to the public.

So they are not opening it for tours for peopel interested in buying there? I thought the sales office was already moved there?

lenshanem,

In regards to the signage--they already have signs up for SSR! We just turned off where we would normally turn to get to OKW (but you go past OKW, of course)
We were there 1-4 Nov--and the actual vacation property was still pretty much blocked off. The first time we drove by on a whim and we asked the gate guard if we could have a look-see(it was around 7:00pm) and he said not at night, but if we wanted to come back in the morning, just tell the gate guard we were going to the "Pro Shop". (I guess there is a golfing pro shop there).
We did come back and the gate guard did let us in after checking our ID's and recording out license plate numbers. He also cautioned us that it is still considered a hard hat construction zone, so use caution driving through.
To be honest, we couldn't really get very close to really see much of anything (we had a better view across the lake over by Wolfgang's).
We saw the model at the BWV and it seemed very similar to the BCV to us, except the decor was Victorian. (I really like the decor)

We saw the signs too while driving to the parks! (late october). We had not even decided to join at that time, and it was exciting to think that we could be members at Saratoga!

"The pro shop" is the pro shop for LBV golf course. I think I read somewhere that they're moving the Pro shop to SSR. My guess is that maybe if you tell them at the gate that you're going golfing at the LBV golf course, look like golfers (how do golfers look?), they might let you in. Then just drive around, see what you can. If anyone stops you, say you're lost.

The pro shop is already part of the SSR complex- nothing to move at all. It is right across from the SSR marina (boat dock).

You can visit the pro shop without actually playing golf, but a drive thru won't give you much view of the SSR construction. You'd need to park and do a little "sidewalk reconnaisance" in order to see much more. You will drive past the pool complex (it's between the auditorium and Cinema), but it is still hidden by the green construction barricade.

I hope to post some updated photos in about 2 weeks.

Stay Tuned! :)

Shan - Be sure to visit the model SSR rooms at the Boardwalk DVC offices. I really liked them. I love the dark furnishings and the room decor. I'm looking forward to trying them out some time!

We were at Downtown Disney yesterday (11/15) for a few hours after we got off of the Magic, and were talking to the DVC sales rep. He indicated that on-site SSR tours will start in February. They expect sales to increase even more once people can actually see the resort, although he indicated sales are very strong (I think they have said that about every single new resort!). One advantage this one has is the visability from DD. The others were not as visible to so many folks while under construction.
