Tour of Kidani on Wed am

I'm pretty sure the pools are shared between both buildings. That's been my understanding all along. So if you are in Jambo, you can use the pool at Kidani and vice versa.

In my post I said what we were told - Kidani guests can use both pools but Jambo guests cannot. It will be up to Disney to enforce what they want. The pool area at Kidani is nice, but not large enough to accommodate large groups of people. That kid area will get crowded quickly.

I was told this also by many of the guides, our guide and have understood that is the rule. Now how Disney enforces it will be interesting to see. I do think however that DVC members staying at Jambo should most definitely get to use the Kidani pool. Obviously not the Jambo resort guests- this would be over kill on Kidani's pool.


I was also told this is the exact same thing at BLT. I think in years past like VWL, BWV and BCV the DVC pool was mostly a quiet pool, so lets face it, the resort guests were not going to be wanting to go there other than for a quiet getaway. However, with AKV and BLT these new pools offer more with the water play areas, so I guess it will be interesting to see how they work all this out.

If one reads the fact sheet given to the castmembers this week, it clearly says the pools are for use by all members and guests staying at AKL. The lodge covers both the Villas and the Jambo House.

I enjoyed posting it, as that tour was my only consolation for being 2 weeks early to actually stay there! But that's when our spring break was.
