Tour Guide Mike website virus?

Now, I guess I'll go run my virus software on the computers I've used to access his site.

I went to the website and got "BAD REQUEST (INVALID HOSTNAME)." Maybe the site is totally down until they get it fixed.

Same with me but I have been on his site since the OP was posted.

Today as i was reading his website a popup comes up that says
This website wants to run the following add-on: 'Microsoft Data Access - Remote Data Services Dat.

If you don't click it or do click the page freezes and I have to restart the computer. Searching around the internet i found a few discussions that says some websites might have this problem

I'm not getting any virus from his site...i'm thinking his site has a virus.

I did get the same message this morning, I dont care what site I am on if my pop blocker blocks it, it because its suppose to....I have just tried to gete back on his site and there seems to be an error I cant get back on

I can't get his site to launch either. It says bad request. Hmmmm, first the Nov. hours still aren't posted, then they switch SSW, now TGM site is down...This is every plannersnightmare!

So, it's down now because of a virus??

I had a notification of a post (subscribed thread) around 2:30 (mountain time) but I was away from my computer. So it had to happen after that time.

I hadn't been to TGM all day, tried about 10 minutes ago and got the "Bad Request" message. Then of course I came over here because I figured some TGMers would have some info, and this is where it would be posted. When I clicked on the two links the OP had re the particular virus information, I couldn't go to those pages - Firefox (my browser) couldn't find them. Hmm. I ran a "quick" virus scan (I have Norton), which did not find anything. I'm about to run the whole megillah (which literally takes hours, since we have so much #*$&$^# on this machine!) to confirm it's ok.

I hope the TGM staff can fix this quickly! I miss it - but I'll get a lot more done around the house the longer it's down.

It appears that it's the "nihaorr1.com" virus which has been hitting many web sites for about the last month. It's an "SQL Injection" virus from China that attacks web site databases. While it's unlikely that your PC is infected, you should definitely run a virus scan if you've visited TGM recently.

Okay this has me scared...I was on it earlier today looking for park hours. I am not very computer savvy and have a very hard time getting rid of viruses once I get them...HELP!!!!!!!!!!! Is LavaSoft the kind of thing I can use to check for infection?? I know we do periodic scans with that and it does have updates but not for everything, I'm sure.

I vi sited TGM earlier today before it went down - just the first page and then the forums. Just ran a virus check and it appears I'm clean. Hope the site gets back up and running soon.
