I'm thinking about trying TourGuide Mike. Any Experience?

Any current codes?

THANKS

That provides $3.00 off your subscription.

I absolutely love TGM, and would recommend him to anyone.

I don't know a lot about Tour Guide Mike-what are the benefits of using his website?
Thanks! :flower:

His touring plans are really good. His information is up to date and it is fact not rumor. For example with all of the discussion aboout the meal credits and how they are being used. He went and got an answer. I feel really confident that his information is correct because that it his reputation.

I thought that I knew what I needed to know about Disney before I got his subscription but I learned a few things that made it worth the money. I am really happy with it.

We went in June and I was expecting it to be the most difficult trip we have taken because of the crowds and the heat. I followed his advice and we didn't wait in line for anything.

I also think highly of TGM 's site. I followed his advice for CRT and got through first thing in the morning without holding for even a second :cool1: I actually wanted ( and got) lunch but I asked out of interest and the CM said breakfast was also still available if I had wanted it . To me, this ressie alone was worth the cost of the site :sunny:

Just be aware that you will not get a personalized plan just for you, but you will have access to alot of advice and general plans. It's good stuff, but you should be aware that there is a lot of information (not a bad thing, in my book!).

We love TGM too. We've used it for 3 trips including one spring break trip and haven't had to wait in lines at all. It took a little getting used to at first because it felt sort of clunky but now it makes sense to me how it is organized. :) I'm quite glad I didn't give up on it because it has some great info too. I love all of the photo tours too.

I was very skeptical at first, what could he tell me that the unofficial guide didn't or that I couldn't learn from this board, but for $20, well worth the money. There is also discussion groups like this. If it saves me time waiting in line then the amount saved was well worth the amount spent!

Be prepared there's alot of reading. We're going in two weeks and I don't feel I have spent enough time on it yet.

I have used the 'Unoffical Guide' and touringplans to plan my trip in early Sept...is it worth it to subscribe to TourGuideMike for this trip?

Is there really that much different information that is offered?

I have really received so much info from here and the book - and I spend alot of time on the 'net' that I cant imagine having another venue to plan my trip! (And neither can my DH! :rotfl2: )

Help - do I need more info!!!!

Well, I would probably not get it again -- there's so much information, and I just don't have time to read it as well as the UG, which I use religiously. Plus, we already have a fairly set plan. If you know what you want to do and are not going to change your plans, I'm not sure how useful it will be for you. If you are flexible and looking for tips, you will probably find enough to justify the expense. Also, if you just can't get enough information and love to plan and read about DW, it's not a bad investment for your hobby!

Hobby - is that what you call it? My DH calls it an obsession! :hyper2: LOL!

I haven't decided if I would subscribe again and I was on the fence about whether it was worth it for our last trip. Most of the info I already knew, but I did learn a handful of things/strategies I hadn't considered before. After using these strategies during our summer trip, I feel like it was definitely worth the money I spent on TGM.

I thought I knew what needed to be known too. This past trip was for June, a first for us. We always have toured September/October and have never really had to worry about crowds. I am a fan of this site and the Unoffical and have learned many things from both but thought it might be a good idea to try out TGM. I was a little disappointed at first, being one of those people who do not read before I jump in, I thought I would be receiveing a computer generated touring plan specifically based on my preferences. Although I did not get that I did receive the knowledge I needed to avoid having to wait in any line more then 10 minutes. Well worth the money in my book for that alone and for being able to relax every day while still being able to enjoy each and every attraction that we wanted, some of them two or three times! Mike offers a money back guarantee so if you are not pleased you are not our any money. I'm sure you will gain some new information that will make your planning/touring more enjoyable.

I just joined TGM's site. My first impression is that there is a LOT of info. But because of the advice here, I was ready for it. Even though there's a lot of advice on this board and some of the others, I have found TGM to have some good tips and advice not found else where. As pointed out by someone on this board, he does have a money back guarantee.

The site isn't very well organized, but I've heard people get use to it. I've found certain info on his site, but then I can't seem to find the same info again later at a different time. This gets frustrating. Whereas some info, I keep stumbling upon over and over.

I know the site doesn't do itineraries, but at one point I did see some of kind of interary template. Just can't seem to find it again.

I ended up with a free subscription once when booking my travel. There was certainly a lot of great information there. The only warning I'd give is that it is very difficult to navigate. I'd find a great piece of information and then never see it again.

If you are having trouble navigating the website, ask for help in the forums on TGM.

I wouldn't buy it again. Not so disappointed I'll ask for my money back, but I don't think I got any new information.

I just joined the other day and have been doing nothing but reading since then. TONS of great info. I already had an itinerary written up and ended up changing some stuff aruound based off of the info I read.

For someone that has read every guide under the sun, etc, it may be a rehash of some stuff with some new stuff thrown in......but for me, who hadn't read anything and always went with no plan at all, I think it will be a huge help.

I do agree that his website is HORRIBLE as far as the layout and trying to navigate. If he designed it, he needs to hire someone to re-do it....if he has someone who designed it, they should be fired and someone else needs to come in and do a complete overhaul. As others have said, I read some good info, then it takes me 20 minutes of clicking around to find the same info again. If it was designed correctly, they wouldn't need a forum section specifically there to help people navigate and find info....it should be easy and intuitive.

Either way, I highly recommend it for someone who has some time to do some reading, and doesn't already have a solid plan.

I honestly think that if you spend time on these boards and allearsnet.com and mouseavers.com, you will get all of the info in TGM. I wasn't thrilled with it as I thought that he was always a little late in getting the newest info out there. It was good reading, but I was one of the ones who thought you could get a personalized touring plan, and you can't. I'm going to WDW again and am not buying TGM this time.

I have TGM and I have found it very helpful to me. It is a lot of reading, but that doesn't bother me because I love to read anyway. Some people get confused with the layout but it didn't bother me much either. You just have to stay on track with what your doing because its easy to get lost in all of the links! I have found a lot of useful information that I know will work when I go on my trip.
