Tough Week!

We are leaving home Saturday, will be at Vero Sunday afternoon. I knew this week would be hard, since we are all anxious to leave, but WOW! This wait is torture! I'm not sure if it helps or makes it worse that I am coming to this forum so much during the day. I want to start packing the car tonight! My wife says it's too early to start packing, but I'm gonna sneak the suitcases upstairs tonight and start anyhow. (I'm such a rebel!) I've already told my boss that they might as well send me home, there wouldn't be any drop in my productivity at this point, but she thought I was kidding. I don't have anything earth shattering to pass on. I just wanted to vent my anxiousness.

Time does go slowly when you are getting ready to "go home"! And then it seems you are back home in no time.

Go ahead and live dangerously...pack that bag. Come and hang out here and get your excitment level way up there, Saturday will be here before you know it.

It certainly IS hard, but at least you are still on this side of the trip, and anticipation is half the fun!!!

I always love to drive my co-workers crazy with my pre-trip antics - I post a countdown about a month ahead, scatter disney confetti all over the place (from a Mickey Mouse paper punch), put disney stickers on messages and notes to coworkers, etc., etc. By the time I leave, they are more than ready to see me go!

I'm ready RIGHT now! We have over a month left before we leave on our Disney cruise and then 4 days at BW. I can't wait! I've become addicted to these boards.

At least we went grocery shopping last night for the trip. It helped to take some of the edge off. I also brought all of the luggage from the basement to start packing tonight.

Start packing, it will make the time go faster. I always pull the suitcases down about 5 days before and start packing extra stuff that we'll need, ponchos, meds, batteries, walkie talkies, cameras, etc. I'm always afraid I'll forget something if I wait until the last minute, so I pack for days and as soon as I think of something I want to take then I go and put it in right away. I'm the type that has a brainstorm in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, so I get up right then and go take care of it. Then I can usually sleep. I am also very forgetful if I'm rushed, so 5 days gives me time to relax while packing. So go ahead, pack, you'll feel better.
