Totally OT: How to shrink a swimsuit?

This is a double-edged sword... I lost a few pounds, but my cute new swimsuit is too big! I never thought I'd lose any weight pre-wedding, but apparently cutting out fast food really works I got a little overzealous and cut the tags off.. d'oh!

It's a shape FX suit, so I think there may be some room for shrinkage. I'm thinking of wetting/washing it and putting it in the dryer.
Has anyone ever done this? (intentionally or otherwise!)

Well, if you were trying then it is great that you lost a few pounds, but yeah what a pain about your bathing suit! That type of material usually doesn't shrink - I had the same problem with a bikini that I love and I just wear it anyway and keep pulling up the bottom half when I think no one is looking

Try washing in hot water and drying it on high. It can't get any worse than not fitting at all! Good luck!!

Second, not sure about that particular material but like pp wash in hot water, dry on high, and hope for the best!

WAIT!!! DH accidentally washed and dried my swimsuit and it got bigger!

I think the drier may make the fabric of your suit look really worn out, and old looking.

WAAAITTTTT... I just thought of something- with all the yummy food, and cake, and cake and cake (hehe) I'm sure I'll fit into the swimsuit just fine!!
