Totally off topic.....hail dents

everyone here is so helpful.......my son's new car has over 100 dents from hail storm here yesterday. Anybody have any tips on how or where to repair? Please forgive me for my off topic question.

UGH! I feel his pain!

My son had this happen to his new SUV just last yr. He called his insurance company and they advised him the body shops allowed to use. The hood had to be replaced and somehow they repaired the rest like new. Tell him best of luck and glad no one was hurt.

Hail damage will fall under your comprehensive insurance. Call the insurance company to get an adjuster out there to take a look at it and then they'll hook you up with a shop... who do you have for insurance?

We have a new car with hail damage too. Happened to us on the way back from Disney in May. Our insurance guy told us to get an estimate and let him know. So far we haven't done anything yet but I remember several years ago we had huge hail and the cars that had been repaired looked good as new. Good luck to your son.

We just went through this ourselves. We called our insurance. Luckily our policy paid for all the $2500 in damage. They referred us to a place called Dent Wizard. They rolled and massaged the dents out. It took 3 days and our car looks just like new. No new paint job was needed.

There are a number of paintless dent removal places here around the Chicago area.. I have used one in Des Plaines twice for door dings in my cars.. They had numerous pictures in their lobby about how they fixed hail damaged cars.. I saw on the news here how many cars were damaged. That storm was terrible.

Three years ago our van had to be totally repainted and undented (is that a word) to the tune of $4,000.00! The insurance company told us what body shop to use. It took about three weeks to get the work done. The hail that hit us was softball size, it was awful.

We also had to get a new roof on the house....it was only 5 years old at the time.

Did I mention I hate hail!!
