Totally lost!

I have both Photoshop and Photo Impact. I'm so totally lost!

I have been trying to alter an image I got from a site - changing the date from 2005 to 2006. I know I have the correct font but I just can't figure this stuff out! I am so impressed by all you graphics gurus.

Anyone know where there might be a tutorial that deals with altering already existing images like that?

whats the image?

Basicly you want to erace the 5, you can this in photoshop with the "healing brush tool" and then you can replace it with the 6 you make.. by simple copy and paste it into the pic..

Just have to make sure its the same size and then you can paste it in and move it around till its perfect..

Them merge the layers and your fine.
