I'm a Disney girl myself, but in February 2015 we'll be driving down for a week stay in Orlando with one day dedicated to SeaWorld. It will be me, DH, DD4(5 on trip), DM & DB.

We'll arrive late Saturday evening so I was thinking about staying off-site (WDW) the first night and hitting SW on Sunday. That said, I'm afraid that it might be too busy so maybe we should save a day throughout the week for SW.

I would appreciate any suggestions or help!! TIA!

I don't really think Sea World ever gets too busy. We were there in mid Dec (much more crowded than Feb), and it wasn't bad at all. Since SW is mainly shows and aquarium like exhibits it handles the crowds really well. I'd just make sure to do any must do activity first, and try to get there when it opens to fit everything in. The penguins is really the only thing I remember having to wait to ride, and then it was only about 20 minutes. We found if a posted time for an attraction was long if we just waited and came back later, it had usually gone back down. You do need to get to shows early to get a good seat, but this is true any time of the year, and you can always buy the pass for the reserved seating for shows instead of arriving early.

Sea World handles crowds pretty well as most of their attractions are shows, that can seat the crowds. I see you said maybe going on Sunday. I remember that they had specially priced tickets for mid week, like $50. You may want to check to see if it's still available...it's a great deal.

February 2015 should be as crowded as this year which was not bad. Get there at opening time, get the park map that has show times, plan your day. The Seaworld website has show times posted about 1 to 2 weeks ahead of time, this is also good for planning.

As for tickets, this year there are $50 weekday tickets and $99 2-park Seaworld+Busch Gardens tickets. Expect something similar next year. There also are free bus trips to Busch Gardens included with some tickets.

OP, if you are arriving on a Saturday evening and planning on visiting SW on Sunday, it might be worth staying that Saturday night at a SW official hotel. Then you would get free Quick Queue (front of the line passes) for your entire family for your SeaWorld day, making crowds an almost non-issue. Just a thought!
