I can't get any of dining reservations that I wanted!:sad1: I just called and tried to make reservations for Ohana, the Spirit of Aloha Luau, and Cinderella's Royal Table, but wasn't able to get any of them b/c they were all booked. The only one we got was Boma....and I was shocked that we got that because I figured that restaurant would be the first to book up. I am sooooo disapointed! This will be our first time to DW, so I had no idea that everything booked up so quickly.

What are the chances of walking in and getting a table w/o a reservation? Slim to none, I'm guessing.

I dont know if this would help but I was at wdw last week and I had made all my reservations in advance. But while I was there I made some changes in times and different resturants by calling. I made about 3 changes. I had reservation at 9 dragons but called and asked if they had kona available and they did... and this was done on the same day I called.

When are you going?? I have an Ohana ADR for 2 people that I'm going to cancel. It's for 10/8 at 7:50pm

When are you going?

We will be there Oct. 4-7. Having never been, I just had no idea which restaurants or character dinners we would be interested in. It has taken months for me to just learn about all of the options! Kicking myself for waiting so late...

I just made some changes to our dining plans as well. But I quickly realized things were booking pretty fast:eek: . I did manage to get most of what I wanted but had to be very flexible in time and such:confused3 . When were you looking to go to Cindy's? Breakfast, lunch or dinner?

I really wanted Breakfast, with Dinner being our next choice. But, nothing was available for any of the 4 days I checked. Boo Hoo!

Several places especially CRT books up 180 days in advance. Did you try Crystal Palace, I have gotten in there with only one months notice. It's Pooh and friends.

Something that may help you with Cindy's....

We are planning a last minute trip for the end of October. Some of our group wants to go to Cindy's and on a whim I called (this was a few weeks ago)

The CM explained to me that I was too early and I was too late. We laughed and she explained that Cindy's needs to be booked right at 180 days OR a few weeks to a few days before dining there.

Because it's a reservation that is held with a credit card, they get fairly frequent cancellations right before the date itself.

For Cindy's, my advice would be to call later on.

Good luck - I hope you get what you want!!

DH and I were booked from Oct 3 - 7 but I have to cancel our trip.:guilty:

Are you looking for ressies for just two??

I don't have character meals booked because we were going w/out our kids this time, but I have Le Cellier, Plaza, Rose & Crown, Chef de France and Brown Derby, and lunch at LTT. Let me know if you want any.....I haven't cancelled yet because I was holding out hope that we would still be going, but it is looking grim.:sad1:

Not sure the best way to transfer these if you want them.....Maybe I could just give you the times and conf numbers and you could still use my name??

Not that my opinion helps you any, but I wouldn't devote the amount of time the Luau requires on my 1st visit to WDW, especially since you've only got a few days. I wouldn't feel too bummed about not getting being able to get in there.

Did you consider trying for an ADR for PSB @ Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot? Many people enjoy it more than CRT.

You sound like you could use a cup of sugar to go with your lemons. :goodvibes Don't give up. There's lots of great restaurants at WDW, & you're sure to find a few your family will enjoy. Keep calling daily, if necessary. You never know, when someone will cancel. :)

Keep calling! People cancel ADRs all the time. I would go ahead and try and book some other places so you are not left to eat only CSs-but I would definitely keep calling for the ones you really want. Good Luck!

Check out the thread here regarding Boma-a victim of it's own success. You may change your mind about going here. I wish we would have dined somewhere else! I was just there last week.

Thank you for this tip....I'll try calling again the week before and every day up to the day that we leave!

Thank you so much for the offer, but we will have our DD8 with us....those look like pretty fancy restaurants, so I'm not sure they would be best for us. Thanks anyway...so sorry you have to cancel your trip.

Keep calling! Use the toll free number if you can. I have called EVERY DAY for the past week making changes to our plans. Just cancelled a Le Cellier lunch yesterday. The CM said I was going to make somebody very happy! I've been trying to get WCC earlier than 8:40 PM and trying to get WPC later than 4:30 PM but for a party of 7 that's pretty much impossible right now but hey, I'm gonna keep trying. You just never know when there'll be a cancellation.

Don't ever give up! What you hear from reservations at 1:00 can change by 1:10! We have learned that if you keep calling, you'll get what you are looking for. We live just 10 minutes away from WDW and often decide in the morning that we would like to go to a particular restaraunt that same evening. We call back every half hour or so and sooner or later, something opens up. Be persistant. Those reservations change constantly!

Just keep trying and be VERY flexible with your times. When I call, I just tell the CRO agent that any time slot will be fine. If there are several time slots, they'll ask you when you want to eat. More often, however, the CRO agent will tell you something like, "We've only got opennings after 9:30pm." Eating late is better than not eating at all.

Yes, call, call, call! People cancel all the time. And, if you don't have any luck, then don't forget to call and/or check with the concierge (at Disney hotels) or guest relations (at the park) when you arrive. DH and I went to Disneyworld a few weeks ago on 2 weeks notice. Granted, we didn't get in to Cali Grill or Le Cellier, but we called (many times on the same day) and got ressies at Jiko, Alfredo's, Grand View Lounge Tea, and Les Chefs de France. We just had to be flexible on our eating times. We walked in to Tony's and Fulton's with no ADR and they sat us. I don't know how many are in your party, but if you're just 2 people, you may be surprised. Good luck to you and have a wonderful trip!! :thumbsup2
