I just have to say this, you and your daughter seem to have an amazing relationship and that is such a rare thang(you know our southern drawl) today. You should be very proud, as I know you are .

Hey, look at us!! the one time we get up early: head to mgm and go to the muppet movie!! YEAH!! WE GET FAST PASSES!! MY DD19 SAYS WE ARE GOING TO BE STAYING IN THE CASTLE THIS SEPT. 2008!!
CAN'T WAIT! hahahahah!!

Hi everyone we are in Tampa and heading to WDW Mon. We ran from the storm!! My family are still in Gonzales,La. and I talked to my DS
and she said they are having rain and wind now!
Please pray for them. We had to leave Fri. because of the storm
we would not have been able to fly out on the 3rd because of the storm!!
This has been a night mare!! We went to a hotel that had bugs!!
and it was in a not so nice place!
We rode up and down looking for a hotel and could not find one until 5:30AM!!
Had to pay 3 times the amount for the car rental!!

Anyway we go the WDW tomorrow!
Thank you CHRISTY for helping us get to POP!!!

Please pray for my family and friends back in Gonzales and New Orleans to be safe!!

I am in the planning stages of our trip for next year. I really want to go in late November early December but, hubby wants to go in March............we shall see................lol.

Day one :
We get to POP on Mon. Sept, 1,2008.
We were reg. to check in on the 3rd. But
our TA helped us out!! and we were
able to get a room 2 days early!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRISSY!!

Our TA also gave us her ADR to Le Cellier
Boy was I jumping for joy!! I was told it takes 6 months
to get an ADR there!!

It was our 1st time there and the food was wonderful!!

So we kept checking with our family back home, WE LIVE IN LA.
YOU KNOW WHERE THE STORM WAS GOING!! IT HIT ABOUT 2:00PM!!
THE EYE HIT ABOUT 20 MILES FROM OUR HOME!!

WE KEPT CALLING AND COULD NOT GET THROUGH!

THAT NIGHT ABOUT 8:00 we get through to a friend: he told us that we needed a new roof!

We had some family that was not being so very nice!!

SOOOOO MY DH Told me that he thought that he should go back home, and take care of all the things going on !!

So the children and I stayed at WDW and he caught a flight back to La. Thank you SW!! They are the greatest!!

We were very sad that he went back!!

Day 2: Tues. Sept. 2nd. We went to wolfgang Puck for lunch: It was great!
My DH booked his flight back to La. He had to fly out on the 3rd.
We went to DHS and the first ride we road was Toy Story. We waited 40 min. in line! But it was worth it!!! Then we road the Great Movie Ride!!

My DD"s wanted to see the Lights Motor Show but my DS and DH wanted to go to the Play ground so we let my DS play at it until the girls were finished.
It was getting late so we wanted to eat. WE had to Pizza Planet and it was closed.
We had to eat somewhere else.
We went back to the room, and went to sleep!

We had the best time!! The wait was not that bad!!

Day 3 Sept. 3rd. This was the date we were suppose to get to WDW. But we were already there!! We went to AK. We missed the rope drop. I think they opened a little before 9:00. We went to It's a bug's life. We like the show! We walked to Kali River Rapids and My DH did not have any crocs with him and only had one pair of shoes,and he needed to catch the flight in just a few hrs.
We road the kiddie rides and went back to POP and ate lunch. Then my DH had to get on the ME. to the airport. WE kissed and prayered with him.

Then we went swimming and rested for a little bit.
We all were so sad My DH had to go.

Then we went to Boatwrights and ate. It was very good.
The cornbread is so good, and the steak is good to!!

But the best is the apple pie with Ice Cream!! Mmmmmmmm soooo GOOD!!

We went back to POP and waited for my DH to call!!

Oh I did not tell you all but,
My DH had to fly into Jackson MS. We live in La. and Jackson is 3 hrs away!
The Airport in New Orleans did not open for 5 day after the storm.
A very kind friend went to Ms and picked up DH. We just love that man!!
He is like a Grandpa to my children.

He called when he got back home and said he could not see much, but there was alot of trees and signs down. It was very hot and he had to get the Gen. going but he said he would wait until the day!!
He said the food in the fridge was yuck!! The next day he had to throw all it out!! And clean it!! THAT WAS A 1st!!

Hey, I'm here! Thanks for posting on my TR! I am so sorry your DH had to go back home because of Gustav. Uhhhhh, if I never hear that name again it will be too soon! I'm just glad you weren't around here for the storm. It was not fun. Can't wait to read more!!!

Hi Thank's for posting! I'm so sorry for you and all the fellow La. people that were in the storms path! My DH said it was very sad. Like sitting in line at the gas station for 4 hrs.
