Has anyone used the Total Transformation program? If yes, what did you like and dislike. If no, why not? My ds (9) has adhd, ld, aspergars, and is bi-polar. We are very limited in Monroe County as for services available. He is already on adderall and seraquel.

I went to the web site because I had never heard of this. What I can see is that this is a mail order ABA program. What I would ask myself is, have I honestly tried before to set rules for my child and followed through with the consequenses; can I do this without yelling and screaming and giving in? If I spend the money on this, will I give it 100% for 15 days, 30 days 60 days or give up because I don't have the stamina to follow through?

I'm gonna have to agree with Cymomtx.

And please don't think this is any snubbing of your parenting skills. Cause I'm not the most perfect parent myself. WHAT????:scared1: That's crazy talk.

Before I went out and spent money on any behavior modification of any kind. I ask myself the same three questions.

1) Am I holding my kids accountable for their behaviors?
2) Am I rewarding bad behavior?
3) Am I holding myself accountable for my behavior?

I can be just as lazy as the next person. Sometimes more. But I try very hard to be honest with myself.

I have two girls 11 & 9. My nine year old has HFA and I and everone else in our family have done her disservices out of GUILT. If she is to become a functioning citizen of our community, I have to make sure that each of my actions don't go against the 3 questions listed above. No matter how much easier it is to let her veg in front of a SpongeBob marathon.

I have heard about this briefly and I cannot remember where, but I agree with cymomtx. You need to be prepared to live , eat and breathe this concept.

I would say the below seems like pretty sound logic to me. Thanks for providing Cymomtx!
