ToT - If there is a hell...

ToT is Disney at it's absolute finest! Even if you can't handle the drops, you need to go on for the theming and special effects. If you haven't experienced the ToT at least once, you haven't done WDW. :D

... but I can't!!! It is such a wonderfully themed ride, I feel guilty for wanting to avoid it when I go to MGM -- LOL!! I went on it once at the beginning of our MGM day last Feb. and, despite the fact that I loved the pre-elevator "atmosphere" of the attraction, I just couldn't take the drops. I guess my stomach and overall body chemistry must be at odds with that genre of amusement park ride! Having said all that, I should add that Rock n' Rollercoaster is my absolute favorite at WDW! I was really scared to go on it after ToT, but my DS6 was very anxious to try it with me, so I reluctantly went for it... BOY, am I glad I did! I must have ridden it 4 times that day alone!!! See, so I'm not a total wimp -- just a ToT wimp!!!!! :) Guess it just depends what thrills you like and your body can handle. I've never been crazy about spinning rides or dropping/jolting rides, but smooth rollercoasters are no problem!

Happy trip planning,
Sarah

My DD loved ToT! Of course, she is a bit of a daredevil. She couldn't wait to get on! I thought it was great, too! You definitely have to try the RnR!

I hate TOT, but it is also a not-to-miss ride. I love the theming of it and just deal with the drops. I've gotten used to it now that I know everything that is going to happen. I haven't been since they changed it in January. Is the only thing different, the drops? They haven't changed anything else have they? I'm not wanting to be surprised on that ride. I love to hate it!! It's one of my favorite rides and definitely the best themed.

SPOILER (if you don't want to know about Tower changes, skip this post!)

In addition to the drops, the family is now in the drop shaft. You see their images at one point during the drops and get a blast of cold air. It's very eerie, but really neat!

Other than that, nothing new that I noticed....

I love TOT so much!!! The last time I went to WDW, I rode it something like 5 times in a row sitting in the middle, which, by the way, is the best place to sit, IMHO, because you don't have handle bars, just the seat belt. It was raining that day, so I could just walk on it! I love the special effects, and I can't wait until 9 days for me to ride it with the new special effects. BTW, does anyone know about the new SE's?
