DD and I will be doing the ToT 13K run in October. We are staying at Pop Century and was wondering if they will have buses running to the resorts after the event is over at 1AM. Just wondering if I need to make arrangements for a taxi. Thank you!
1. Enjoy travel within Walt Disney World® Resort from one hour prior to Theme Park opening up to one hour after Park closing. And for our late-night Downtown Disney® Guests, motor coaches operate until three in the morning.
I would think there should be transportation until 0200?

Thank you for your reply. That's what I was thinking, too. I just called WWOS to see if they knew, and a gal there confirmed they would be having the resort buses running, since it's a special event. No need for a taxi, thank goodness.
Don't know if you saw it on the website, but sometime in the past several days a statement appeared on the "Book a Package" page stating that there will NOT be transportation.
I am quite irked about it....I assumed that the reason there were three designated hotels for the race was so that they could contain the runners to a few areas and make transportation arrangements easier on Disney. Maybe they aren't having very many stay on-property for it. It's also a bit late to being letting people know (and burying the information on a page where most people are unlikely to look at this point).
There is a statement in the Final Race Instructions that say: "There will be no Transportation provided to/from the race weekend activies. It is up to each participant to provide their own transportation. "
There is a discussion on how to get around on the ToT Final Race instructions thread.
Well darn! I for one am surprised that there isn't at least limited transportation at 1AM. Heck, I didn't expect transportation after HDDR at Fort Wilderness and there were resort busses for us. More than one resort to a bus, but it was just a show and I expected to have to take the boat back to MK and connect to my resort from there, but Disney provided direct transportation. This does complicate things!!
Darn, I won't have a car. I guess I'll be looking for someone to share a taxi with. Don't know how I missed that rather important piece of information.
Denise and I are staying at POP and will have a car. You'll need to find me after the race though We plan on staying late, not sure If we'll stay all the way unitl 1:00 though. We can also take a few over to the race. PM me if you want to swap phone numbers.

I still can't believe with them offering a special rate at 3 resorts that they wouldn't have bus transportation to at least those 3. I'll be calling for a taxi it looks like. I looked at renting a car this afternoon, but the cost is just too much. Nothing like it coming out before many are already there and I leave myself tomorrow.
We were in that same situation in 2003 for the October Classic race (now Race for the Taste). No bus transportation to an early morning run at WWoS.
You would think security would want guest to have plentiful access to leave a park safely, without having to figure most everyone has to take a taxi.
Hope it all works out for everyone. I wish I knew more here as we could always give a few people a ride. Next time I will have to post sooner and maybe help someone get around.
