My family and I will be traveling up to Toronto for a quick trip late next week. We are staying downtown on Yonge Street. I need some suggestions for budget-friendly (if there is such a thing in Toronto) places to eat meals. I am traveling with my kids (24-28). I would say they are "plain" eaters. Like the burgers, fries, ceasar salads, chicken fingers type food (not my choice--trust me). Also, looking for a nice place for breakfast in the morning. Some place with pancakes or omelots and good coffee! Prefer to stay right downtown. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

Downtown on Queen and Younge theres a diner next to Starbucks called Fran's. I always eat breakfast therewhen I'm staying downtown. I usually stay across the street at the Sheraton Center. Fran's is a 50's style diner with all day breakfast. They also have burgers and other diner foods.

Fran's is a good choice. Are you staying somewhere where you can get complimentary breakfast? TO is expensive. Breakfast at the PP's suggestion can keep you full ALLLLL day:thumbsup2
