Today I won an all expense 3 day/2 night trip to Toronto from our local radio station :cool1: . It's been 25 years since I was last there, any suggestions on "must do's" during my stay??

Thanks,
deno

Shop in Kensington & at Eaton Centre. Go up in the CN Tower and walk on the glass floor. Go to a Broadway show (Wicked is playing now). If you have time, drive to Niagra Falls.

Ok, I'm probably going to sound like a commercial for Toronto...sorry
DH and I have been going there for the last few years because he's a Huge Bluejays fan. We go yearly now and stay for at least 3-4 days.
we usually catch at least one baseball game and that's saying something for me because I didn't care for baseball until going to the Skydome. It is so clean and the fans and people working there are so friendly.
We tend to go during the spring/summer and do a ton of walking (it's a VERY clean and safe city)to get to see everything.
We saw the Lion King (they have several theaters with great shows all the time) and DH enjoyed even though he's not a fan of the theater. We've been on a dinner cruise, to the hockey hall of fame, shopping, bar hopping, to a comedy show...I can't remember everything.
I found this site, though, I hope it helps.

congrats on winning the trip!!!

You can also do a tour of the skydome then eat at the Hardrock Cafe that looks over the field. The Bata Shoe Museum is also neat. There is also a castle called Casa Loma http://www.casaloma.org/Main/

Visit the DIS's Canadian board. There are alot of people there who can give you lots of suggestions.

The Hockey Hall of Fame, ROyal Ontario Museum

Add to the already great suggestions:

Toronto Metro Zoo (be prepared to do lots of walking)
There are several boats tours around the islands on a nice day
Science Center/Museum - it's a great way to spend some time
Ontario Place

Also, if you do drive outside of Toronto, try Niagara-on-the Lake. It's a very quaint old area that's just beautiful along the water with all these great little shops, etc. You can take a carriage ride through the area. There are also lots and lots of wineries in that area and many offer tours.

So When You Comin'?

You have been given great suggestions.

There is lots to do in our Fair City!

Do you know which hotel you will be staying at?

Oh, also, I don't know if you have children or not but if you do you can take the ferry to this set of islands one of which, Centreville Island, has a little amusement park on it. It has boardwalk type rides. Its fairy inexpensive for the boat ride/all day passes. (If you don't have children you can still enjoy th beautiful grounds.)

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I have to take the trip by May 31st of this year and it is a trip for 2 adults. I'm leaving DH at home with the kids and taking a friend who really needs to get away. We will be staying at the Quality Inn Midtown, (I hope it's an okay place) and have show tickets, (don't know which show) and meal vouchers. After I choose the actual dates that we'll be going, I will get a packet from the travel agent with more details. I can hardly wait :flower:

Quality Inn Midtown is right on the subway line. It is also on Bloor Street beside very upscale shopping and very close to the Museums. I would also suggest that you check out www.mirvish.com to see if you can get some tickets to a show. If you can't get two seats together, make sure you try going the singles route. There are usually some very good seats to be found.
There are lots of excellent restaurant in the theatre district. You should have a great time!

Here are some reviews of the hotel http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...ws-Quality_Hotel_Midtown-Toronto_Ontario.html
