Tornados -- anyone in Indianapolis area?

My DH and his good friend are driving through Terra Haute right now and called to say theres a really bad storm, worst he's ever seen. So I go online to check it out and there are Tornado warnings for that area. They are in a semi truck towing a huge race boat and im just a little worried. Anyone from that area that can tell me how big the storm is and if I should be worried. We dont get storms like that here and I dont know what to compare it to. He is reporting damage like billboards knocked over and a county fair flooded and power is out everywhere. I pray if it is bad that everyone will come out of it safe. Thanks!! I kind of look like this right now .

I live in Indianapolis and for us its just rain. I have been watching and worst happening is just high winds but we are not having any high winds.

The storm is moving more or less north to south. The Tornado/severe activity is to the west of Indy and moving south. Here on the north side of Indy, just a little rain and thunder.

I live by the track and it was just a regular storm. In fact it's totally over for here, the sun is even shining.

It was probably the same storm that went through east central Illinois where I live this afternoon. There were high winds (60-70 mph) and some tornados reported. The rain wasn't too bad, but like I said the winds were bad.

I hope they made it through o.k. Driving in the wind can be tough even without pulling a trailer. Report back when you know more.

Thanks everyone!! They are now out of it. They were driving from Evansville to Detroit so they passed right through it. Dh said the winds were really bad and it looked like the movie Twister. He was driving and said the winds were the worst part and the lighting was spectacular to watch. We have been in some bad mid-eastern storms traveling through that area, but he says this was by far the worst he has seen. You guys helped calm my nerves, since I was just getting his account of it on the phone Im sure I made it worse in my head then it really was! Sounds like it was not really that big of a deal for those who live with those storms all summer!
