Topolino - how hard to get at this point?

Is Topolino (breakfast) still super hard to get? It was the one ADR I wanted but couldn't get on our last trip, so it's priority for our upcoming stay. I'd like to plan it for our rest day, but not sure if it will make a difference in my ability to get the reservation if I try for Day 6 or Day 8?

You're more likely to get it later in your stay judging by what's been posted recently.

We could only get dinner the last night of our 6 night stay in fall of '21. Breakfast was impossible.

If you're willing to gamble, trying fairly often the day before, you might snag that one. That's the current best shot from what I've seen here and elsewhere.

Where you're staying has no influence as anyone anywhere can make ADRs. Being in Riviera where you can go to Topolino's and try for a walkup is the only stay advantage I've heard of. Well, unless you're a VVIP maybe.

I think you may be SOL if you aren't staying at the Riviera. I'm curious to see how others' experiences go! I tried to book at 60+10, right at 6:00 AM Eastern, and saw zero availability for any party size for any time of day, breakfast or dinner, for all 10 "60+" days.

I don't think that could even be possible. It seems they may be saving those reservations beyond 60 days for Riviera guests. By the time you get to the 60 day mark, it's unlikely you find anything.

I would check back they don’t upload them always. I had posted about not seeing them and then they were finally added and I could get my pick of anything. And I’m not staying at Riviera

I'm with FSU Girl on this one. My ADR window opened up about two weeks ago and Topolino's reservations were not uploaded for April yet. I set a dining alert and, lo and behold, on Feb. 2, my phone blew up with dining alerts for Topolino's and I had my pick from several days and times for my trip. You just have to keep checking or set up a dining alert.

That seems pretty crazy that they wouldn’t upload times that people should currently be able to book.

I’ve been checking back every day but still nothing. Totally insane.

Ya they definitely added them late. How far into your window is it now? And I’d set up a reservation finder to help get one

I think at this point I’ve convinced myself I don’t need to do it at all.

It’s definitely my favorite character meal but the Riviera isn’t the most convenient place to get to if you aren’t staying there, and we are now locked into Crystal Palace for the day before we would have done it, and Cinderella’s Royal Table the day after. I don’t need to do that many character meals, and my bank account doesn’t either 😂

I think we’ll just take advantage of more Hollywood Studios time in the morning instead of doing a big production.

This morning, I was able to get a Topolino's breakfast ADR on day 60+5. We are staying at Riviera; I wish I knew if or how much of a difference that makes. I didn't check availability for other days.

Yes, it was very frustrating. The same thing is happening with the Fantasmic dining packages for the week I am traveling. It is well past 60 days for the date I am looking for and there is still nothing. It obliterated my 60+10, WDW hotel ADR window perk.

I don't think where you are staying has any impact on ability to get an ADR (other than the on-property 60+10 advantage). I've gotten breakfast there twice when my ADR window opened (I forget what + it was but no more than 5 since I don't stay longer than that) and neither was the one night I stayed at Riviera (once was the Poly and once was CSR).

Where staying at the Riviera would be an advantage would be the walk-up wait list since you have to be on the Riviera property (possibly at CBR - but it could depend on where you are in the resort - I know I couldn't do Chef Mickey's walk-up list from the Poly before) to join that and unless you're arriving by Skyliner that's a challenge as they don't like to let people in by car even with rideshares if they aren't staying or don't have an ADR.

It depends on the restaurant tbh. I’ve noticed the more popular ones require you to be physically close by, but I got on the walk up list for Kona from my room at the GF and was called up before I got out of the main building.

Good point. Kona was hit or miss for me (I ended up not booking it when it changed from 5 minutes to 90 when I had it as 1 person...I've since learned to just do 2 for a walk-up same as an ADR) - sometimes I could do it on the boat back from MK, other times it wouldn't do it until I was on the dock.

I will note that in my experience, for the more popular meals - especially at Monorail, Skyliner, or walkable resorts - even being on the wait list won't get you in in a car. For those you pretty much have to have the ADR or be arriving by Disney transportation.

I got it for my trip at 60+6 I think. For a party of 7. The breakfast

Topolino's frequently shows up as people change plans. Many book a placeholder and then cancel if they don't need it. Just keep checking and/or sign up for dining alerts. I read that they may be changing their policy of a "free" extra side (1/2 entree) on Feb 15, more people may cancel if they don't want to pay $45 for just a simple entree and a basket of muffins.
