Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

I am curious to see what the changes are going to be -- from what I have read, they will only be in effect at night, but I could be wrong. We may be riding it in your honor on your actual birthday since I have DHS tentatively planned for the 18th when we arrive. :thumbsup2

wow.....you know when my birthday is? i'm impressed! :rotfl: i probably told you that you were arriving on my birthday and have just forgotten i told you. either that or you have an amazing memory. or both!

i'm just really hoping they don't do it this summer and then that's the end of it. even if by some miracle i win the lottery and get to go to disney world this summer, i still wouldn't get to ride ToT seeing as i'm almost 6 months pregnant now and am due in september.

Great plans Jackie!!

I hope you do get to Tutto. We have been twice now & it is so good!! Of course Italian is my favorite food so there you go.

I do not blame you for not doing the dining plan. DH & I did DxDp this last trip & I do not know what I was thinking:confused3 It was WAY too much food & I feel like we spent most of our time eating instead of being in the parks. We will never do it again. I do not mind the regular dining plan so much but with your Connor eating chicken nuggets I would not do it either. My 2 DS's are 21 & 17 so they EAT!!:)

Where we stayed at the Beach Club we did go to Beaches & Cream but no one got the Kitchen Sink while we were there & I was watching in case someone did. I did not want to eat too much while we were there as we had an ADR for Narcoosess's later on.

Wow! Only 6 weeks left!! Awesome :goodvibes

LOVE your list! Can't wait to see pics of the Electrical Parade!!

Great "Wishes" list! I hope having a DIS meet will also make it's way on to that list :thumbsup2

The more I hear about how much you love the MSEP, the more excited I get for it!!

 where have I been (oh yeah down in your neck of the woods...how did I miss this....

CONGRATS on going back to Disney again...I can't believe your kids even needed convincing....does that actually happen (kids don't wnat to go)?

so I may be out of it...since I'm like the last Diser to find out CP and crew are going to Disney...but I thought the reason why it was orginally scratched was because of $ but the beach thing would have been more anyways...

oh well, I'm just glad you are going and can't wait to read along as you re-plan and especially when you get back to hear all about the MSELParade...what fun.

love the non-edible wishes...very cool stuff you got listed...so what is this about new nighttime special effects on ToT? that sounds fun...even though I'm the only one in my family who will go on...

be back for more...

Great list! I think you picked some perfect highlights for the trip! I will just take your list thank you very much! I can't wait for the night entertainment, and I am curious about Sum of all Thrills @ Epcot. We didn't get a chance to check it out at xmas or in Feb. But this summer we should have time. Ah yes, the Giraffes!!! :) AND YES. Kim is much more tolerable with a slushie. ;)

I wonder how long it will be at WDW. My brother, SIL, and nephews saw it at DL in August. My nephew loved it. I'm kind of surprised actually. He's asking to see it again in Augsut.

I think it is going to be around for awhile -- at least through the end of the year, if not longer. My two would probably really like it.

How many KP missions is Connor interested in doing this year?
Maybe you can get a different adult beverage for each mission. Drinking around the World with KP ;)

Connor would probably do them all again if he could, but I am putting the limit on three -- the three he hasn't done yet.

I don't know how effective I would be in helping fight evil with three drinks in me, but I know I would be a much more laidback mom!

wow.....you know when my birthday is? i'm impressed! :rotfl: i probably told you that you were arriving on my birthday and have just forgotten i told you. either that or you have an amazing memory. or both!

I remember it being the day after Chelsea's so it is easy for me to remember. ;) I also remember how your due date is September 20th (right?) because that's the day after Connor's birthday.

i'm just really hoping they don't do it this summer and then that's the end of it. even if by some miracle i win the lottery and get to go to disney world this summer, i still wouldn't get to ride ToT seeing as i'm almost 6 months pregnant now and am due in september.

My gut feeling is that all of this (with maybe the exception of the fireworks) will be around for longer than just this summer. I have a hard time believing Disney would install new effects at the ToT and ship a parade all the way out from California just for ten weeks.

Great plans Jackie!!

I hope you do get to Tutto. We have been twice now & it is so good!! Of course Italian is my favorite food so there you go.

Charles and I loved our meal there in October, so I would like to head back there.

I really hope we end up saving money not doing the dining plan. If we don't, I will probably kick myself for not going ahead and having it. I do like the prospect of the freedom to order what we want off the menus though.

Where we stayed at the Beach Club we did go to Beaches & Cream but no one got the Kitchen Sink while we were there & I was watching in case someone did. I did not want to eat too much while we were there as we had an ADR for Narcoosess's later on.

I think if we do Beaches and Cream, it will be a meal all unto itself.

Wow! Only 6 weeks left!! Awesome :goodvibes

LOVE your list! Can't wait to see pics of the Electrical Parade!!

Thanks! :goodvibes I can't wait to be there watching the parade!!!

Oh, and I had fun with ribbon and my trip binder yesterday! :thumbsup2

Great "Wishes" list! I hope having a DIS meet will also make it's way on to that list :thumbsup2

Without a doubt!!! :thumbsup2

The more I hear about how much you love the MSEP, the more excited I get for it!!

I don't know if you read Lynn5700's trip reports or not, but she is down there right now and saw the parade last night. She posted on Facebook that it blows Spectro away!!! It made me so happy to see that because I always worry that I will hype something up too much and then, people will be like, "What was the big deal?" :goodvibes

 where have I been (oh yeah down in your neck of the woods...how did I miss this....

Hi, Julie! How was your trip to the ATL?

Well, when I first started planning the trip to Hilton Head, I was thinking it would be cheaper because of the money we would save on activities, eating out, and driving. When I started running numbers, I realized it would really end up being about the same. Really, we will probably end up spending more at Disney just because it's Disney, but we will get a longer vacation, and I think it will be more fun.

I am not sure exactly what the new ToT special effects are -- all I have been able to find is something about new nighttime effects and a new drop sequence. I will have Charles and Chelsea report back on it. ;)

Love the list, Jackie! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Michelle! I had fun putting it together.

:) AND YES. Kim is much more tolerable with a slushie. ;)

Borrow away! :thumbsup2 You can borrow the edible version I am going to make later this week, too! ;)

I am really excited about all the nighttime entertainment. I love all the parks at night! :lovestruc

I hope they still have that Cosmo slushie machine in France -- that's the one I want while Connor saves the world.

I'm away from the boards for a bit and look what happens. WOW. Although, I will admit, I'm not surprised you switched back to WDW.

I hope you and Chelsea do the tea. I've always wanted to and I'd love to hear all about it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who makes multiple ADRs! Guilt abated. I have a few to cancel myself now that I know when the kids are competing. I will admit to keeping one maybe ADR. I'm not sure we can use it but I'm not ready to cancel it yet either.

Hi, Julie! How was your trip to the ATL?

coming up today....the 3 older kids have 2 hrs of school today so hope to crank it out while they are gone...

I am not sure exactly what the new ToT special effects are -- all I have been able to find is something about new nighttime effects and a new drop sequence. I will have Charles and Chelsea report back on it. ;)

great can't wait to hear from some tried and true ToT riding experts...this may have to go on my must list now...

and thanks for explaining the $ stuff....I'm just glad you get to go and everyone seems happy about it

I'm so excited for you and your trip to Disney!! We don't get there until August 22nd (and Nightastic ends on the 14th) but watching the debut videos this morning really made me wish we could see the Electrical Parade! Theres a chance they're saying they'll keep it around past the 14th--I hope so!

Jackie, I just love your non-edible wish list!! Lol. Eventhough we are only doing MK and Epcot, there are a lot of things that I want to do as well on your list. ;) I want to try all of the tasty adult beverages in Epcot!! Lol.

I also remember how your due date is September 20th (right?) because that's the day after Connor's birthday.

Jared's birthday is September 19th too! Of course, now that I'm typing this it seems like we have discussed that they share a birthday in the past......I don't know, my mind is not what it used to be - getting old sucks!

Hi Jackie! I just caught up and look what happened? No Disney just wasn't right. Now I can sleep better, knowing that things are back on track with your vacation! :cool1: It's so exciting that you'll be able to see the electric parade again! We saw it at DL a couple of years ago - it was so fun to see again. I bought a video tape of it (yes, video tape) the last season it was at DL before - I wonder if I can find a DVD?:confused3

It's so cool that you kept your ADRs - somehow I don't think that was an accident! :lmao:

I think it is going to be around for awhile -- at least through the end of the year, if not longer. My two would probably really like it.

My gut feeling is that all of this (with maybe the exception of the fireworks) will be around for longer than just this summer. I have a hard time believing Disney would install new effects at the ToT and ship a parade all the way out from California just for ten weeks.

Somehow, I do not want to take that chance.

I don't know how effective I would be in helping fight evil with three drinks in me, but I know I would be a much more laidback mom!

:rotfl2:
Charles and I loved our meal there in October, so I would like to head back there.
::yes::

I really hope we end up saving money not doing the dining plan. If we don't, I will probably kick myself for not going ahead and having it. I do like the prospect of the freedom to order what we want off the menus though.
I think you just eat differently. When I know I have DDP I guess I plan more and have certain places and things I will gravitate towards. Without the DDP I have a similar list. Each way has has its pro and cons. I think I am mindful of it but don't let it completely rule what I eat.
I know I have my snacks that are snack credit worthy and those I pay cash for. Same for CS.

I watched YouTube videos of both MSEP and the new fireworks show over the weekend. They both look great! You are going to have so much fun. :)

Are you going to watch online videos or let it all come back to you (or be a surprise in the case of the fireworks) when you see it live this summer?

I love your list! So many great things to look forward to.

I love Captain EO. That was one of my favorite attractions when it was in Epcot, and I'm so excited you get to see it. Between that and the Electrical Parade it's sure to be a nostalgic trip!

I'm wondering if there's anyway you could trick Bo out for a photo with Chelsea. Perhaps a festive party hat? ;)

That is a great list! I'm so excited for you to see MSEP and the fireworks -- Katie's phone was dead by the time that they watched it on Saturday night, but Patrick texted me and said that both the parade and the fireworks were awesome. Of course you know that about MSEP already. ;)

I would LOVE to experience the new surprises on ToT!

Jackie! I have been MIA (work has been a little slice of h***) so I missed that you changed back to Disney World! Yay, yay, yay!! I am so excited for you. :yay: I know how disappointed you were when plans changed.

Your list looks great! I'd really like to know how the finances come out using the card vs. the dining plan. I will have two kiddos that are priced as an adult next trip so the dining plan really costs a pretty penny.
