Quick clarifying question. If I am a member staying at BLT using my points (non-restricted) July 3rd, can I visit the Top of the World Lounge both July 3 and July 4 (space permitting, of course) to watch the MK fireworks because you have the ability to utilize resort services until midnight the day you checkout? What if I have checked into another Disney resort? Do I still maintain my access to the initial resort? Thanks!

We went up to watch fireworks last week. If I recall correctly, they asked to see my Blue DVC card, but did not scan my magic band. Hopefully someone else can confirm.

July 3rd and 4th (along with NYE and maybe another day or two) restrict access to TOTWL to DVC members staying at BLT. The rest of the year you don't have to be staying at BLT to access it (though you are supposed to be staying onsite so I guess they should be checking magic bands)
Sorry OP don't know if you have to be staying there the night of the 4th-like you said you normally have access to resort amenities on check out day.

I had asked about having access to the lounge on July 3rd, if I checked out on the 3 Rd, and did check into BWV in n the third. I was told I would have access to the lounge. In the end, we did not bother to go back to BLT.

I had asked the question via email, and I was prepared to show the gatekeeper the answer if I had been questioned.

my guests have been allowed up, there may be a limit to how many. I have never had more than 3 guests at a time.

I believe it is the same policy regarding guests as the rest of the year (if they are on your reservation they are allowed to accompany the DVC member). Sorry if my post was confusing-I simply meant access was restricted to those actually staying at BLT for those certain dates.

Access is dependent on the CM, sometimes they check MB's. A couple of nights ago I pulled out my ID and member card and that's all. No questions, no conversation.

I was told by a supervisor that they are supposed to scan the MBs, but the scanners don't always work, so in that case the just look at the member card and ID. But when TOTWL is restricted to BLT guests, like for the July 4th fireworks, they will need to scan the MBs.

If they are sharing your villa, yes. If they are staying in a separate villa (thus a separate reservation), no.
