Hello, I am visiting Top of the World Lounge with my brother and his wife who have a baby who needs to be down for the night by 7PM. We wanted to pop in at 6, check it out because they've never been there and order some food that we could cobble together as dinner. Will they allow me to take it out of the lounge to my room? We'd like to do this to relax rather than eat in a rush. Thanks in advance for answering.

I think going to Contempo at the Contemporary would be the place to get food for dinner.

Pretzel bites, cake, maybe flatbreads.., those are what you get at TTOTW.

Sure you could take the food out of the lounge if you wanted to.

At the Contempo Cafe there was only like maybe two items we would actually eat...we aren't beef eaters or really seafood either...that's why I thought maybe putting together a few items together and making it dinner at TOTWL. The menu from TOTW that's online is from 2016 and maybe it hasn't changed since then....idk. I was just curious as to whether they'd let us take the food to our room. I'd love any other tips you guys have. Thanks so much!

We were late December. I hope you go up to see what it's like,

On our last visit, the person next to us at the bar ordered a piece of cake to go. The bartender gave it to her in a Styrofoam container. So they do have take out containers there.

DH and I are vegetarians. Unfortunately there isn't much at TOWL that we can eat. We tried the pretzels once, just to have something to munch along with our drinks.

ETA: I see they have a Margherita Flatbread on the menu now. I don't recall seeing that option when we were last there.

We last went in February 2016, got almost everything on the menu over 2 visits.

Here are pics of the yummy cheese board:

7 layer cake that we brought back to the room...and 7 people ate it

Thanks for posting the photos. Is that the flatbread nest to the cheese board? How was it?

I had a room at BLT a couple weeks ago right down the hall from TOTWL. We were going to MK that night for the Disney After Hours party, so we went in the lounge right at 6 to get some dinner. We had the Margherita flatbread and pulled pork sliders (these were on normal buns, not slider sized buns) and that was plenty for 2 of us. It was relaxing as only a few other people came in that early. We were out and on our way to MK by 7. The books listing the drinks and food are gone. It is now just a one page menu type thing. I was very sad to see my non-alcoholic Top of the World Sunset was no longer available.

Did you ask them about making it? Often a drink that was served but pulled from the menu can still be gotten.
They didn't see too willing to offer when I commented on the fact it was no longer on there. It was a new bartender so he hadn't made it before. Maybe next time I will be more aggressive, lol. I am staying at BLT for 6 nights in October so will have plenty of chances.
