I have only stayed at BLT once as part of a split stay this past Feb and I did use TOTW on two nights, got there well before Wishes, only 2 or 3 other people there. Wishes time came so I went outside to watch, and was surprised to see at least 30 to 40 people on the balcony. Wishes ends and the people disappear as mysteriously as they appeared no one came into the lounge. I assume they all had to be DVC members staying on points otherwise how did they get up there.

IMHO opening it up to all DVC members wouldn't make that much difference, how many members would really make special trip over there just to use TOTW. Maybe a few more than it currently gets but not enough to save it.

I give it 3 to 6 months and it will be gone, and judging by members use of it, it will be missed like a toothache. Then everyone will be complaining about another perk taken away from us. Well this one will be the members fault.

I think anyone staying at BLT should have access to the lounge.

Any DVC member that wants to experience the lounge can if they book to stay on points. They have a choice.

It's no difference IMO to pool hopping. Some resorts you cant do it, if you want to use that facility to have to stay at the resort.

I am not concerned about losing the lounge....I dont think its an expensive facility to run and it probably generates similar revenue to the pool bar.

I am a BLT owner. Staying there in 2 weeks in a 1BR MK View villa. We will be using the lounge every night to see the fireworks and to relax before going to the villa. Of course we will also 1 or 2 nights watch the fireworks from out villa after all that is why I used the extra points for that view. But opening up the lounge to the general public or anyone staying at BLT is in my opinion not an option. I think they should open it up to all DVC members as a perk just like many of the other perks we get as DVC members. But opening this up to the public would be a real shame. Just my opinion.
