Ok, so you mean I can't wear a Birthday Pin if in September if my birthday is in November???? LOL What a stupid thing to get flamed for.:sad2:

How about - How far in advance of (or after) your birthday you can celebrate it at Disney and is it acceptable for you to wear the birthday pin more than one day?

Ok how about...............Gay days and the religious tone of the candle light procesional. A woman got flamed over the gay days topic for just asking what really goes on in the parks and didn't want her closed minded old fashioned mother to be offended or put off from visiting disney for her very first time. And also havingher mothe rpossibly make not so nice remarks because she old school, ya know and was brought up in different era.

Yeah, that is a big one. Hard to talk about delicately. Another one I was just reading is whether it is okay or rude to save a table while the rest of your party stands in line for food.

And I have to say right now the #1 fight provocing topic is whether to pre-book a room in anticipation of free dining when it's said it takes away from the free dining room availability.

Well it's annoying when you've actually booked your trip and paid for it yet someone else who is potentially going grabs the last dinner at Le Cellier. It's a bit ridiculous, VERY RIDICULOUS! I'm not even kidding when I say I want to jump through my computer screen and smack them for that!

Sorry for the above post but it really pisses me off sometimes.

Things I have noticed that get people all hepped up:

1. Going on a birthday trip when it's not actually anyone's birthday i.e. celebrating little Johnny's 11th birthday on a spring break trip when his birthday was the week before.

2. Joking around really irriates some people. April fools day was yesterday- some people chuckled, some people got upset.

3. Being young sucks while having an opinion. I am 22 and VERY opinionated, just because I am 22 doesn't mean it's necessary for someone to say "so young..." You're old, I'm young- doesn't mean you know better, lol.

4. Using FPs after their expiration times.

5. Strollers.

6. Lying about ADR and party size.

7. People staying off-site and staying during EMH.

8. People who didn't purchase hard event tickets and hanging around for the P&PP, MNSSHP, MVMCP.

9. Kids on parent's shoulders during fireworks shows.

10. The smell on the Stitch ride also get people all wacky.

Don't think I've seen it mentioned, but how about the towel animals in the rooms. Complaining about how they left a big tip everyday and didn't get any but yet the window next to them had 5.

Admitting that you made multiple dinner ADRs because you can't decide which one you want. Or, not cancelling an ADR when you know you're not going

Agree with this one. This is why at popular places (CG and Storybook Princess Breaksfast) require a credit card now to guarentee that people either show up, cancel in advance otherwise get charged.

1. Anything to do with strollers and ECVs (and who should and should not be in them)

2. Anything to do with any type of restraint on a child (like a leash)

3. Tipping (do you, don't you, should you, how much do you.....)

And my biggest favorite:
4. Who is Disney actually for, adults or kids?
(and its variants, such as disney is designed for kids, kids appreciate disney more, kids dont appreciate/understand disney, adults who get looked at weird for enjoying themselves at 'kid' stuff, adults should not be allowed in the front row at parades because kids cant see, you get the picture......)

Another one I was just reading is whether it is okay or rude to save a table while the rest of your party stands in line for food.

People really think that's rude? I thought it was just common sense. That way you're avoiding jamming up the CS lines unnecessarily and saving on having however many people wandering aimlessly around the restaurant with full trays.

Has anyone said the "Saving pool chairs early in the morning before you actually go hang by the pool Thread" Thats always dependable for a flame on the Resort board.

taking food from the ts you were at and saving it for later .. I asked why people bring baggies to wdw and this is what I was told, then I ask about it later and I just about got flamed!!

I'm currently subscribed to this thread, just to see what happens next! It think it's hilarious how some people think they are the end-all-be-all knowledge master for child rearing, and everyone reading the thread has to follow their direction! I don't even have kids - but this thread is pretty interesting.

And I started a thread recently on pool hopping. I have never been to WDW, and had no idea it would be such a hot topic. Thanks for posting this to give us newbies a better understanding of what can really set people off.

Haha, well welcome! I'm on the leash thread too! But I know better than to post anything because I also don't have kids, so clearly I'm a clueless moron who knows NOTHING and therefore has no opinion. I'm the same way on the great stroller debate, I just enjoy watching them all! Is that sad? Sometimes you just never know what's going to set some people off, but generally I think people are pretty friendly here, I've never been flamed on this board at least.:thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, yes!! :rotfl2:
It's "common sense" if you're the one sitting waiting for your food and not the one wandering aimlessly around the restaurant with full trays trying to find a table because all of them are taken with people waiting for food!

But that thread was closed yesterday.:thumbsup2

Another goodie is whether you should offer to share your table if it's crowded at a CS restaurant. ;)

On the resorts board a hot topic is Ft Wilderness vs Wilderness Lodge. Those two just don't get along! :stir:

Anything having to do with "free" pins and what 'entitlements' a honeymooner/birthday/anniversary celebrator should expect to receive.

What about questioning whether to bring along younger members of the family. That gets heated.

Don't know if this has been said, sorry if it has.
If you post you have credit card debt on the budget board and then say you're going to Disneyworld, you can expect the fur to start flying.

How about trying to pass a 3 year old off as a 2 year old? popcorn::

Don't know whether this was posted but was reading a thread just yesterday on it...

paying for a FW campsite to get on property perks and privileges but staying off site...
