Top controversial questions on the Disboards

I didn't know you couldn't swim in another resorts pool. I just figured if you were staying at a Dis Resort you can check on the other pools. Who knew.

You used to be able to pool hop if you were staying onsite (not sure what year it changed). I'm guessing they changed it because certain popular pools were getting overcrowded. Now, there are certain resorts that share pools with neighboring resorts and occassionally I've seen exceptions during rehabs.

**Best bet is to check with a CM at the front desk of your resort when you check-in.

Here's a hot topic...Height requirements on rides/shows.

9. Taking kids out of school for a trip to WDW

(I've never read threads on the resort mugs issue! Now I'm curious - what could be so controversial??? I'll have to find a thread!)

They're always asking if you can bring an old mug and use it on the next trip. :-) Or using them at another resort other than where you're staying.

Don't forget the ever-popular "send my luggage on ME while I arrive in a rental car"!:happytv:

I inquired about doing this when planning for the "Moms" to get to the Wedding with the least amount of trouble. My Mom can't do the stairs on the ME buses, but I wanted the luggage to be delivered. I was told that if they didn't check into ME, the luggage would STAY at the airport for security reasons!

Needless to say...the "Moms" picked up luggage and were taken in a Town Car to WL that trip.

It all worked out.

The whole bus topic can get nasty- meaning who does and does not deserve a seat and who should give up their seat for others.

Also anything involving cheerleading groups, Pop Warner, or Brazilian tour groups.;)

Very interesting list. It is funny how some topics can really get people angry.

The ugliest fights I've ever seen have actually been from the cruise line board. Don't get them started on whether the new ships should have casinos or not. :sad2:

Definitely a popcorn:: topic.

Making a brand new user name on the DIS and your first post either bashes Disney, a Disney resort or a Disney restaurant in lengthy detail and then proceed to say that you didn't bother to bring it up with the management. :lmao:

Oh!! I thought of another one! I'm on a roll here!

I know people get popcorn:: if you go onto the Year of a Million Dreams board and make a subject complaining that you didn't win any dreams on your trip (or past multiple trips). And how the promotion is terrible, Walt would've never wanted people to feel more special than other people, how unfair it is and how the "magic" is gone. :rotfl2:

Or just in general whining that the "magic" is gone on any part of the DIS gets people going. ;)

Okay, I don't know how I keep remembering this stuff! :rotfl2:

Admitting that you made multiple dinner ADRs because you can't decide which one you want. Or, not cancelling an ADR when you know you're not going. :cool2:

What about people closing in on your spot right before a parade? I've seen that topic get really heated!

And I have to say right now the #1 fight provocing topic is whether to pre-book a room in anticipation of free dining when it's said it takes away from the free dining room availability.

Oh I thought of a killer topic (hopefully it isn't already posted!) How children are picked to be in the parades! My DD got picked when she was 3 and a woman sitting near us proceeded to trash every kid in the parade (including mine), because her kids were cuter, prettier, better, more special ... you get the idea

What a jerk!

How about - How far in advance of (or after) your birthday you can celebrate it at Disney and is it acceptable for you to wear the birthday pin more than one day?
