I dont understand them praising Tiffany either when they said they did not like her dish. I agree Alex has to go just not htis time. HIs team pulled him through. Amanda should have gone. After Kenny gone Angelo has no real competition! The Blue team did everything in the spirit of restaurant wars and lost! So it pays to be rude I guess.

I was shocked they did that! I was hoping someone would make a comment about the pea puree on the dish tonight--maybe it would have given a hint as to who really made it two weeks ago

I was shocked to hear that Kenny was going after the judges commended the way he kept the kitchen together.

I read the blogs over at bravotv after Peagate. Chef Tom said that they went over every inch of video to see if Alex took teh pea puree and there was no evidence of it. He said that they would have used the video if it was there because it would have made good TV. He also said that they will not tolerate cheating so they needed to review to ensure that there was none.

I am going to head over there this morning because I do not understand the reasoning behind allowing one chef to have almost no hand in creating a dish when the rules state that each chef must be responsible for a dish. I was shocked that Alex having no real hand in his dish was considered to be part of the strategy.

I haven't watched the show yet, because I fell asleep, but I did read Toms blog at Bravo, wow, he hasn't even posted it yet because he's on vacation, but the comments alone are worth the read. Everyone pretty much agrees that he got robbed, what they don't agree on is weather amanda or alex should have been gone. Like I said I haven't seen the show yet, but I think both amanda and alex should have left a while ago.

I was really hoping for a double elimination last night.... Alex and Amanda.

I kept thinking, when Alex was being so demeaning to the staff that those that can, DO, and those that can't lecture others on how to do it right.

I agree that Kenny had to go. SOOOOOOOOO tired of hearing him spout off about hos GREAT "the beast" is. He hasn't put out anythng of any note since day one. Besides that, as Exec Chef he IS responsible for their loss and BOTH dishes he made were no good. Also, his attempt at throwing Alex under the bus (who I have no love for at all) showed immaturity and a pettiness. Even Ed kept mum when Alex stole the puree. That's class. Kenny is a big jerk who needed to go away.

Yay.

ITA!!! I didn't care for him. Although I like Alex even LESS!!

I was shocked last night. My husband watched it with me for the first time last night and I was filling him in on everyone. When they showed Kenny I told him that I thought he would go to the end. I thought for sure Amanda was going home....and I think she did too! Alex is so arrogant! He needs to go! I love that Ed won the challenge last night, though! I really like him.

I was surprised last night too. I liked Kenny, more in the beginning. His attitude was beginning to bug me a little too. I think Amanda or Alex should have left. I like Ed, Tiffany and Kevin.

Amanda should have been sent home. I really don't understand why she wasn't. I'll be curious to see what Tom says on his blog about that.

I think Ed and Tiffany are my favorites now. Ed showed some class by not mentioning "pea-gate".

Kenny's dishes throughout the competition were either brilliant or awful and lately it's been the latter. He just isn't bringing anything to the competition. I wasn't surprised that he went home, but I do believe that Alex is the weakest competitor and don't know how he kept getting buy. Wonder if BRAVO has any footage of Alex making the pea puree?

And why did the losing team think it would benefit them to through Alex under the bus? It doesn't matter what Alex did or didn't do - he was on the winning team. The rules have been pretty clear all along - someone on the losing team goes home. Alex is not the first contestant to have his bacon saved by his teammates.

I've never really seen then get into to it like they did either- interesting. I really like Ed or Tiffany.

Amanda should have been the one to go last night. She did one dish and did it badly. While Kenny's did not come out great either they thought he did a great job of running things and that should have been enough to keep him if it's been enough to send ppl home in the past.

This season does not have a lot of talent like last season did so that alone has been a let down then to have one of the better chef's go makes it even worse.

SSB has been greatly enjoying the season ... did not get hooked until "Top Chef: Masters" and then followed into this new season. Just bought TCM first season over the weekend and looking forward to viewing after this DC season is over.

I think Top Chef is usually in the 10 pm time slot. I do not remember them being up against Criminal Minds, and having to choose between the two. Even Glee switched time slots & days as it couldn't compete against Criminal Minds. (Okay, enough shameless promotion for CM, not to mention the great DIS thread we have here for it. )

I'm glad Alex finally went. I had a feeling since Pea Gate that he wouldn't ultimately win. That kind of suspicious stigma would not be good to be attached to the integrity of the final winner. There is a difference in being a real b******, as Michael V was, who nobody liked, and being a cheat and a liar.

Weird challenges this go round. Too bad Amanda could not go with him. I expect her to be gone next week.

What is up with Angelo? Granted I hated his attitude however at the same time he was winning challenges. He looks beat down. Poor guy.

So does Tiffany have this in the bag? So far it looks that way unless someone steps it up.

I think that Tiffany had been flyin gunder the radar and as the cheftestants pack it up her strengths are so much more apparent. Kelly is a really strong chef too and has nto cracked under the pressure.

I think that the frontrunners are at a disadvantage because there is a target on their backs. First Kenny hitting a wall and now Angelo. Remember Jennifer last season? She was hot right ffrom the start but by the end of the competition she was exhausted.

That is the key isn't it? The chefs cannot crack under the challenge pressures.
