Top Chef Seven--May Contain Spoilers!

It's the same old, same old every season.

Some chef cooks their heart out every episode, makes a tiny misstep one episode and gets the knife. While some schmuck barely boils water right each episode, but somehow makes it further than they deserve.

What is up with this show?

I'm sick of it. Either the judges aren't that great at giving their opinions about the food or they can't keep track of who is doing what.

Either way, this has gotten too frustrating for me. How could Tiffany get axed after doing so well, especially considering Kevin's and Kelly's track records? Sure they were both up to snuff this time, but should one episode count against most of the others?

Plus, to hear them tell it, Angelo's dish was too sweet. I don't feel he should have gone home yet, but I didn't think Tiffany had messed up enough to go home either.

Call me a quitter, but I have decided to find another form of entertainment.:headache:

I agree!!!!
Tiffany was the best, period.:guilty:
And why do they always get rid of all the women every season?
I'm sick of it.:sad2:

Umm...a woman has won Top Chef, and in nearly every season at least one has made it to the finale.

Yes ONE women in how many seasons?;)

I still think the judges should judge the dishes anonymously.
That they don't know who cooked what. But we the viewer know who cooked the dish. That is the only fair way.

It isn't sexist. Two of the judges are women! It's all about the food. But I think your anonymous idea is a terrific one!

That would level the playing field with those of us that judge the dishes without tasting them :lmao::lmao:

yes, I totally meant that to be a joke.

I was disappointed that Tiffany went home. Tom acted all funny went Angelo was telling him what he was going to make, plus his was sweet I thought they said NO sweet foods

I'm rooting for Ed:cool1::cool1::cool1:

On another note YAY for Top Chef winning the Emmy for Gameshow

I thik they should have allowed all 5 to go to Singapore and then done a quickfire cook off while there and booted the loser.

Thats what I kept telling Dh was going to happen, so then they would send both Kelly and Kevin home and the top 3 would be Tiffany, Ed and Angelo. Now I want Ed to win, but if you would have asked me at the beginning of the season I would never have guessed I would feel that way at the end.

I was stunned that they sent Tiffany home, but even more so that Angelo won the challenge.

Cheering for Ed, but would be okay with Kelly.

Tiffany :-( She just had a wonderfully radiant, good personality. Could not be more disappointed.
Only rooting for Ed now. Will be VERY angry with anyone else.

I loved loved loved loved loved Tiffany! So sad she is gone!!! I loved her sunny attitude and up beat personality. Now I am rooting for Ed to win. I really don't like Kelly that much. She seems just average. She is always in the middle. I dont think she has the chops to go to the end. I think it will come down to Angelo and Ed.

Oh and how funny was Angelo when he said he felt like he made love to the short ribs?? Also, did he say something about having a Russian girlfriend who he was trying to get a visa for? I thought he said he talked to her alot but only met her a couple of times? I didn't quite catch it, but was wondering the story.

Pretty much, anniemae - about Angelo and the fiancee. I know somebody in a similar situation.

That's funny - after all these weeks, I still can't remember her name, either!

Yes, this is why I can't remember her name. She is pretty unremarkable and it seemed so was her food.

It seems often the ones with the best personalities don't win. Like that season with Beaker. They just end up with fan favorite.

I know someone who got married for a green card. They literally did live together for the full 3 years though, as roommates. They couldn't wait for it to be over with so they could get on with their lives. It really cramped each of their romantic lives and essentially put that on hold.

I was just watching the new episode of Iron Chef and Ed was the sous chef for Cat Cora. And so was Richard Blaise from an earlier season of top chef. pretty cool.

I saw that, too. It was nice to know that their talents are being realized somewhere!

I'm ticked that Tiffany is gone but more ticked that she left before Kelly and Kevin... what the... :confused3

:sad2:

Oh come on! Kevin lives in NJ, and he can't make it to NYC's Chinatown to check out the various woks before the final episodes? I remember previous Top Chef seasons. They get to go home for a little bit.

Seriously!

I really wished Kevin was the one to get the boot last night. I thought the same thing...he knew he was going to South East Asia. Wouldn't you prepare and practice?? Especially with Angelo in the mix. I loved that Padma totally called him out on it in the quickfire!
It seems that the judges really liked everyone's dishes so it must have been a tough decision. I would love to know how long they actually deliberate!

I was hoping that Angelo was going to get the boot. I loved how Ed was trying to mess with his mind. Even Angelo thought he'd be the one sent packing.

I just hope that all the sickness in the previews aren't to throw us off and have him come back to win. :headache:

I want Ed to win. He's got a great personality, though not as delightful as Tiffany's. I like that he didn't back down in the final challenge even though he had immunity. I'd love to try his banana fritters.
