Top Chef Seven--May Contain Spoilers!

I got spoiled (or ruined) after watching Top Chef Masters, and how professionally they treated each other and that the focus of the shows were on the foods and the challenges instead of petty, immature bickering. How novel is that?

I tried to watch, then turned it off after 10 minutes. Maybe I'll watch again to see what level the contestants are at, then tune back in when they get down to the final four, when it gets focused on the challenges. Week to week bickering, I'm not into anymore.

I watched. I love Top Chef, but I find the first few epidsodes kind of boring. There are almost too many chefs to remember.

The one chef in the quick fire challenge--it was amazing how fast he was!

Don't get me wrong, I've found myself watching a lot of food shows lately and have been inspired to pick up the pots and pans to cook (and yes ladies, I am available ).

That being said, I kind of missed the bickering in this first week. I know it's way too early, but that bickering is what makes reality shows like this work. You've got to play up the drama.

Still, like jagmom said, too many people to remember right now...give it another three weeks and I'll start to have some favorites.

I didn't realize there was a new season until I saw the light come on my DVR that I still had set from last season! I loved the guy who won the quick fire.

I am sure they will rerun it so I probably will have no problem catching the episode.

Oh good another show to add to my list. It is really thin.

The four that won the first elimination challenge seem to be the strongest. I am loving Angelo

Early impressions? Tracey has got to have a serious attitude adjustment, or just leave already. As someone who loves the drama on these shows, I found her to be completely distasteful in all of her whining of the other contestants.

Once again I think we can easily see who the strong chefs are. Last season the F4 were pretty much set in stone from Day 1. I see that happening here again. Major letdowns aside, I think Kenny and Angelo are here to stay for quite awhile.

I always watch and was so excited to find that one of the chefs is from my town - Kevin. He made it into the top on both the quick fire and the elimination rounds so I have high hopes for him!

I agree on the "too many chefs" comment. What I like to do is, re-watch the first few episodes, towards the end of the season. By that point, you have a really good feel of who the strong chefs are, and it's fun to watch your favorites.

I agree on Top Chef Masters being a whole different ballgame, though. Those chefs were competative, but they had so much respect for each other. I guess when you're already that successful, you don't feel you need to prove something by knocking the other guy down.

I thought the chicken liver chef would have gone home last night, too. Though, I was glad it was the homeless-looking chef. I couldn't imagine a season filled with this dirty appearance and googly eyes.

I love dreadlocs, but not when they look like a rat's nest. I think his kiss of death was when he was buying his puffed pastry and said he'd never used that brand before.

I think Angelo needs to tone down his bravado a tad. I think he and Kenny are the ones to beat.

Kenny's knife skills were sick!!! I would have hacked off my hand if I attempted to chop like that..amazing. I really like him. Angelo is very good..but I do hope the bravado calms down..its such a turn off.

DH called the dreaded guy going home right in the beginning. I thought it'd be Tracey, and I'm thinking once she falls below she'll be gone... but she is a drama starter it seems and they do love that!

All I know is that DD and DH were pretty happy with the elimination choice. (It must have been bad.)

Oh, Robin...I missed that humor when I bailed on the AI thread this year. Good Lord, couldn't get into that show this year one bit. I ended up watching the whole darn thing (with the exception of the final week -- went three months, but bailed on the finale because I didn't care), but I couldn't stand anyone. When they got rid of my favorite -- Katelyn -- when they were choosing the Top 12, I decided that I couldn't care less.
