#5...use thin zip ties on zippers. If tsa needs to get in it's easy enough. And it's obvious if luggage has been opened. Put fingernail clippers in carryon or external pocket of checked bag (don't out a zip tie on that pocket lol) to get zip ties off.

Remove the items from your pocket and put them in your carry on bag while you are either in line to check in at the ticket counter or while you are in the security line. But don't wait till you get to the x-ray belt to do it.
