It's impossible to just pick 5, but I will highlight 5 I like. Obviously, I think of my favorites from Marvin Gaye and Aretha, but since others have listed them, I will go with some others that may not have been mentioned.

Cannot have a Motown list without Smokey Robinson, so I need to chose one of his tunes. Hard to pick just one, but I would say, I Second That Emotion.

Gotta have some Temptations, maybe I would have to pick Can't Get Next To You.

Must have the Jackson 5 and The Love You Save.

So hard to pick just one Stevie Wonder tune, but I guess I'll say, I Wish.

The Supremes, You Can't Hurry Love.

Tears of A Clown- Smokey Robinson
Ain't No Mountain High Enough- Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell
I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)- The Four Tops
Fingertips, Sir Duke, or just about anything, really- Stevie Wonder
Baby Love- The Supremes

That was hard! So many other songs I could add to that list. The Jackson 5, Temptations, Gladys Knight and The Pips, The Commodores, The Shirelles, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas- a long list of amazing artists.

I was going to include Respect in my list, but found out Aretha was never a Motown artist! I would have sworn she was, but nope- she started out with another small label out of Detroit, JVB, then moved to big labels throughout the years (Columbia, Arista, RCA, and Atlantic).

I heard it Though the GrapeVine
My Guy- Mary Wells
You Can't Hurry Love- The Supremes
Baby Love
Just My Imagination

Oh, man, this thread is going to cost me a fortune in downloads!

My Girl
Still
What's Goin' On
I Just Called to Say I Love You
Overjoyed

Too many, especially by the Supremes and Four Tops, to mention. Love Hangover and Don't Leave Me This Way would also be near the top.

Love Child
Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)
Love Hangover
Do You Know Where You're Going To
You Keep Me Hangin' On

I'm not a big Motown fan, but I love Diana Ross.

I did not realize this!

Glad I'm not the only one! ;) These music threads always get me "into trouble" on iTunes.

I saw Motown the musical last weekend. The music was so good. I especially liked the actor who portrayed Marvin Gaye.
