The Rocky franchise is one of my favorites however I never think of it when someone asks the top sports movies. Strange. Anyhow:

1. We Are Marshall
2. Remember the Titans
3. Rudy

Surfing: Endless Summer

Didn't like the Bagger Vance movie that much but it would make my three favorite sports book of all time. That "Good Vibes" by Jay Cronley, and Harvey Penick's Little Red Book.

1) Miracle (though I prefer the HBO documentary better)

A close 4th was "Goal! The Dream Begins". A very good, and seldom seen movie. I highly recommend it.

I had forgotten about this one until I looked it up on imdb!

I can't believe only one person mentioned Raging Bull. It's widely considered by critics to be one of the 5 best films of all time.

In terms of popular interest, probably Bull Durham and Caddyshack, but I have a soft spot for Breaking Away. (Also Costner, very early on.)

A River Runs Through It also probably deserves a mention, though it's only partially about fishing.
