...while doing the college program. Some of us will be around 7 or 5 months away from home sooooo what are you planning on taking with you down to Florida?
Those of you who have done the program already please give us some recommendations.
Well, here's my list of stuff that I plan to take with me. I know I'm forgetting a few other stuff but I still have almost 5 months. Yeah, some of you might consider a few of them to be unnecessary: :rotfl:

  1. Money
  2. Clothes
  3. Groceries
  4. Cell phone
  5. TV
  6. DVD’s/DVD player
  7. iPod
  8. Laptop
  9. Shoes (2 pairs of Converse, a pair of fancy shoes)
  10. Personal stuff (hair gel, deodorant, tooth brush, medical plan, social security, license etc.)

* My mother has to teach me how to cook and do my laundry...I'm a little spoiled.

1. Money
2. router
3. dress clothes (for training)
4. my laptop
5. change for the laundry rooms
6. warm comforter for the bed

:surfweb:
I'm gonna need those aswell. I read the bed were uncomfortable...is it true?

By the way would I have to buy pillows (well I'm used to sleeping with 5)? :lmao:

Decorating items...sounds fun I guess I'll buy a few stuff to make my side of the room more at home.

Yes they are. I recommend bringing something to make it more comfortable.

Yes. You do need to bring pillows.

what kind of things would you suggest for decorating? Are we allowed to put anything on the walls??

I plan on buying movie posters down there and just throwing a few up on my wall. Just so the thing isn't bare.

The washers only take singles. You have to buy a laundry card for $5. It has $3 credit on it. Each wash is $1 and each dry is $1. The cards are reloadable. And when your program is over you can mail the card back to the company for a $2 rebate. My advice is to only load as much money on your card as loads of laundry you will wash that day. You can always put more money on the card if you need it.

I know. I've been using the laundry cards for the past 3 years on and off.

or a like Saw type movie person?

I feel so insulted....

Oh, it's so great to find another horror fan here...we must hang out during the CP. :woohoo:

I'm a huge fan of the 70's and 80's horror flicks. I'm a sucker for the 80's slashers. I of course like a bunch from this decade and a few of the 90's. Oh, remakes really  me off but I watch them and I like a few of them.

My top fav. horror films are: Halloween, Haute Tension, A L'interieur, May, A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist, Alice Sweet Alice, Friday the 13th, Carrie and so much more......

How about Sleepaway Camp, or Mothers Day? those are great.

It's true. There is no toilet paper in the apartments, so you will need to get some. I would wait til you get to Orlando though.

Since I have a condition I've been thinking of putting my name on my special food items and talk to my housemates about please not using those or at least asking me if the can.
