Top 10 Table Service Restaurants for Kids

I don't think Spoodles is overly fun for kids...my kids were fine there, but nothing to keep them busy such as characters, movies (Sci Fi) etc.

Our kids love Ohanas, Teppanyaki, Princess dinner at Norway, whispering canyon and even LeCellier. Have fun choosing!

Yes, six per car at Sci-fi. We had five in our car, and there was room for a sixth next to one of the kids. Our car had three rows of two seats each.

One more change!

1. Chef Mickey
2. Coral Reef (this place looks to cool to pass up)
3. Donald's Breakfastasourus (we are big breakfast people)
4. Princess Storybook at Restaurant Akershus
5. Sci-Fi
6. Hoop-Dee-Doo (2 TS)

Keep the advise comming!

:cool2:

You should put Whispering Canyon Cafe back on the list ;) It's a really neat experience...something different. They do silly gags and little things to keep the kids entertained. You never know what is coming next. Be sure to order something that needs Ketchup !!

Sci-Fi seems to be very popular. What about for a 4 year old? Would he have tons of fun there? I have the Fantasmic Dinner Package booked for Mama Melrose (that's all that was left when I booked). I'm wondering if I should reconsider?

Also, most of you list Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's & 1900 Park Fare as fav's. What if you had to pick only ONE from those three?? For dinner on a MK day? Suggestions are appreciated-thanks!!

The best TS restaurants for kids in our opinion. (DD8, DD13, DN(ephews)10,12, and DN(iece)10.

We have not eaten at 50's Prime time yet, but will try it soon. Whatever you choose it will be great!!!:cool1:

My kids loved Spoodles - not sure why...
Maybe it was the pizza - I really hope they still have it on the kids menu.
I think I saw a new menu w/o it :sad2:

Spoodles menu has changed. Check out allearsnet.com. My DD loved it last year because they had a make your own sundae, but that is now gone. We're going anyway, though, because the food is great. We like the sangria, too.

We love, love, love Crystal Palace. We've been there for breakfast and lunch and both were enjoyed by grown-ups and kids.

Chef Mickey's is great, Coral Reef (just be sure to ask for a table by the aquarium) and Liberty Tavern all had food and atmosphere that my kids liked. My kids love Breakfastasauras, but it's definitely my least fav character meal (don't love the food and always feels really rushed). We also didn't love Cindy's, and would never use 2 credits for it, but we're prob. in the minority on that one.

Have a great time!

1. CHEF MICKEY (Monday Dinner)
2. CORAL REEF (Tuesday Dinner)
3. BREAKFASTSOURUS (Wednesday Breakfast)
4. 1900 PARK FARE (Wednesday Dinner)
5. SCI-FI (Friday Dinner)
6. HOOP-DEE-DOO (2 TS) (Saturday Dinner)

I called at 7:00 a.m. exactly 180 days out. I was able to book it all for the times and places we wanted!

Now, I may get a vacation from my disney vacation planning!

:cool2:

Our boys loved Coral Reef, Hoop de Doo and Ohana! They also loved the food at Mama Melrose but were more entertained at the other placed.

Breakfastosaurus was great (lunch here is also great, HUGE burgers that are definitely not your standard McD's which pleased us big folks and the kids were so happy to see those beloved fries and nuggets) and they also like Liberty Tree for the character meal.

But be prepared, it's not a board favorite, so there will be those that will try to talk you out of it. We thought it was great - beer and wine included for mom and dad, unlimited Mickey Ice Cream bars, and dancing with Mickey - what's better!
We also liked Rainforest Cafe - food was average but better than expected, atmosphere was great, my son LOVED the fish tanks. It's not on DDP, but since you're planning on a few 2 credit things, you'll probably have to pay OOP somewhere anyway.
That's a great time of year to go - we've been there the past 2 years that exact week - nice low crowds, good weather, fun halloween decorations.
I know it's pricey for a big family, but have you considered MNSSHP? That was really fun also...HAVE A GREAT TIME!
You never know - I may still talk my hubby into going back during that time...

We have been there at least 3 times but never saw the unlimited Mickey Ice Cream Bars....has this recently been added??

:cool2:

We just got back Saturday. We ate at chef mickeys and LOVED it. Coral Reef was also great as was Ohana's.
Coral reef we were right but the tank and divers came by and entertained our kids. Not to mention the steak I had was great.
Chef Mickey the food had good flavor, but was cold. They kids were entertained by the characters the whole time and loved it. The desert was very good with lots of variety.
Ohana's was fun and the food was good all except the sausage. Of course, we like our sausage spice and this was pretty bland.

The longest wait for our table was at Chef Mickey's so be prepared. Our ADR was at 6:10 we arrived at 5:50, waited in line for 10 minutes to check in. Then we waited in line to have our picture taken. Then we waited to be seated until 6:55.

We did not eat at any of your other picks and this was also our first time.

Have fun!
