Too Old For Character Dining?

Hey, I'm 43 and still love character dining (anything with Tigger!!). I say go for it and enjoy yourself!

My DD is 15 and still loves character meals. We HAVE to eat at Crystal Palace and the Castle every trip! Luckily I love them too!

Nope, no way, absolutely not - you're NEVER too old for character dining. I like to think your age magically disappears once you set foot on property anyway - you're as old (or young!) as you want to be!! (Which is why I'll be spending my 40th at WDW....)

Ok, simply stated ... you're never too old!!!!!

I'm 40 and I adore character meals! Sure, DS9 enjoys them, too ... but I think we do them more for me than him!!!!!

So, go ahead ... go to a character meal and have the time of your life! Disney is all about having fun!!!

I am a 30 year old manly man who went to college on an athletic scholarship and works in a prison. If my son (4) gets in my way for any of out three character meals during out October trip he will get trampled. You don't have to tell your friends about it but they will be jealous if you do. Have a great time.
Take care

That is so funny and I feel the same way.

I did my first last year at 40, and I plan 2 more (at least) for next time when I will be 42....

We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.

Ash, what do you mean that actors/college kids play Cinderella and Prince Charming?!?!?!
You are never to old to believe and Disney is for the people that believe in magic. No matter what anyone thinks and no matter what anyone says, if you like going to see ANY characters and spending time with them, enjoy yourself and live it up!!!
I still dont understand how Mickey makes it to all those places as fast as he does!

:wizard:

I am 28 years old and had my first character meal when I was 26. I'll be 29 by the time I go to Disney again, and guess what? I'm still planning on having a character meal, hopefully breakfast. I say do it and enjoy yourself. :thumbsup2

You're never, EVER too old! We told my dad we'd take him anywhere he wanted to go in WDW for dinner on his 55th birthday. Instead, he wanted to go to the Crystal Palace for breakfast and still says it was the best birthday he ever had. :) And the characters did come over and hang out with us and my sister was the youngest at age 21.

Just agreeing with all others here! In December of 2004, we went to the Ice Cream Social (oh, I WISH they would bring that back!). Our group was 61, 59, 41, 38, 35, 16, and 13. We all loved it and we got easily as much attention as the families with the little ones! We also went with just my immediate family (41, 38, 16 and 13) to LTT for dinner on NYE. That was character dining also and we still enjoyed ourselves and loved our pictures! Hope you get to a character dining while you're in the world!

I don't think you are too old at all. Back in 2001 I went to Disney with 7 of my sorority sisters and we went to a character breakfast while we were there. We got tons of pictures and had fun with the characters, we ranged from 20-22 yrs old at the time.

I'm 33 and I love charactor meals! On my last trip in April of 2004, I was there with a good friend and we had breakfast with Pooh, and it was a blast! I never liked them when I was a kid, but I'm making up for it now! princess:

Personally I don't think your ever too old for a character meal! My husband and I just did a Disney cruise in February. We enjoyed the character breakfast on the ship as much as any of the kids in the dining room and we are in our early 50's! We had our pictures with them at the meal and on Castaway Cay. I have to say since our return home people look at our pictures and they seem to enjoy the ones of us with the characters the most. We've also been alone at Disney World and attended the Pooh breakfast at Crystal Palace...complete with pictures and autographs for my scrapbook. It will be a wonderful memory for you, if you really want to do it go for it.

You're definitely never too old, but there's a certain age where you think you are. Fortunately it passes quickly, but we had a great laugh at DD's expense. She was almost 12, and we were at a shop in Morocco, and a CM came out and asked if we'd like to see the Genie. We told her that DD thought she was too old for Genie, so the CM ran back and grabbed Genie and said "this girl thinks she's too OLD for you!" So of course Genie made a huge show of it, grabbed DD and hugged her, and embarrassed her terribly while DH and I could hardly stand up for laughing so hard!

Go to the character meals and have a great time!

Don't worry about it...you're never too old for character meals...I'm 22 and my Dbf is 25...we do at least 4-5 character meals on each of our trips!! Our favorite is Crystal Palace, tigger is my favorite and get this Piglet is Dbf's favorite (he would kill me if he knew I told, :rotfl: ) but you can just picture a big former college football player being so happy to see Piglet!!! It's so much fun and don't worry about what other people think...I'm trying 1900 Park Fare this year for the first time and am looking forward to meeting Prince Charming!!! :cool1:
