Well my 2yr old is too young for the boutique but my question is about my
12 yr old daughter. We got our vacation planning DVD yesterday and we all watched it. My daughter decided that she wants to dress up as a princess. Now previously I had asked her and she said no way (she is in the tween stage) But after watching the video she decided that it was Disney and she has never been and wanted to experience being a princess for a day. I was under the impressiion that the boutique was for kids 3-10...is that true?? If not I'm thinkin of making her and appt for hair, nails and makeup since I don't think I will be able to find a princess dress big enough for her. She is in the
6th grade but looks like she is a freshman in High school big for her age. Anyways any advice??

In my experience there have been 3yo all the way up to adults getting "princessy" at BBB. Your daughter may be interested in the new Hannah Montana package available at the DTD location, being that she is a "tween". So, to answer your question, she is definitely not too old. It is a really great experience for girls. Enjoy if you decide to do it!

My daughter was just turning 11 when she went to BBB. On our plane ride home, there was a girl who had obviously been there who looked to be around 17. 12 is a great age for it. Most of the really little girls look way too made up after going there in my opinion, but the make-up is just right for the tween stage.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the entire process? I'm not sure if my DD12 would be interested, but I'm also not sure if it's worth spending that much time and money for her to go, strictly because she LOVES the rides and also, since we're going in August, I'm sure she'll either be swimming or showering that day anyway.

i havent been there. But club libby lu is sorta the same.

i am 12 years old(13 in may) and i love to go to club libby lu. I have gotten the princess makeover and a hannah montana makeover.

12 years old is a great age!

I made Ressies for my DD and DS and now I wish I made one for myself. They are booked but I am going to keep trying.

My step daughter wants to have her "princess hair" done...but she is rather shy and won't do it without me along...I'm definitely older than 12!

Your daughter's age is fine. They'll make a big to do over her the same way they do for the little girls and the little girls at heart! She'll have a fabulous time!!

No one is to old for BBB the only thing that your dd would be to old to do is wear costumes in the parks the age limit for that is 10.

Is this really a rule? I've never heard about it.....and doesn't explain the cross-dressing tinkerbell's presence at Magic Kingdom (well, that was at P&P Party) that seems to have scarred my 5 year olds! :rotfl2:

I actually thought the age was 12 not 10. But it's okay to dress up as the princesses if you are going to the Pirate and princess party.

This entire thing still blows me away. A 12 year old is not an adult. This is a ridiculous policy.

My dd10 wouldn't ever dress up as a princess now (well, maybe jasmine) but she would love a HSM or HM. To me it truly isnt worth the money if WDw is going to say,, "well, we'll take your money but she's gotta take the clothes off before she leaves BBB"

Off my soap box now.

I just can't wrap my brain around a theme park declaring a 10 yr old an adult for any reason other than pure greed. We will, of course, pay for said 10 yr old, but she certainly isn't an adult

For anyone not aware...they started the Hannah Montanna package a week ago. Its 110$ and you get a wig, t-shirt, makeup, makeup case to take home along w/ a HM pocketbook and a microphone. you can also get pics done. Britt is going in April at 11AM and then being "Hannah" that night at the PPP. She just turned 10 yrs old last week and never had the desire to be a "princess" but can't wait to be Hannah.

Although it is true about the discouragement of older (adult-sized)children possibly not being able to wear Princess costumes except at the Special Parties like the Pirates and Princesses one or Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party(as Disney does not want to have them mistaken for the actual characters by other guests) They would be able to wear "Princess-Inspired outfits". On the DisBoutiquers Thread there several people who have made outfits for their older children that are WONDERFUL. Recently one was posted that was made in cotton with an Aurora style bodice with a separate knee length Tutu skirt. That is just one example of the Princess Inspired outfits. Come over and Join us and take a look! Nana

HI!! Does anyone have any pics of the Hannah Montana Makeover? My daughter Hannah would love to see them... :goodvibes

If your daughter wants to do it , then go ahead. My girls thought BBB was too babyish so we went to the Barber Shop at MK and they got updos with colored gel and pixie dust sprinkles for only $7.50. If you brought your own little tiara they could put that in for you too. So I got all 3 girls done for less than the BBB and we got many compliments on their hair. I thought it looked even better than the BBB.

Haha I see the point in them thinking that an adult would look like a character.

SIGH..I guess I will wait for halloween of this year to be a princesss.

I want to be alice in wonderland this year
