Too Much Construction to Enjoy Side Trip to AKL?

I'm staying at the WL next month, but I was planning to take a couple hours to head over to AKL to see the savanna. I've heard so much about the construction; should I save my travel time for something else or go ahead?

Most of the construction is indoors, as they convert the hotel rooms on the 5th and 6th floors to DVC villas. You should go and see AKL!

Also I heard construction is only between 9am and 5pm. Go early or late and you should be fine!

I knew that there would be a new DVC building, but I didn't know there will be units right above the regular rooms. That should be interesting...
