too many mnsshp scheduled in one week

I agree, we are in the same boat Sept 28-Oct 1, we only have two nights to potentially go to see Wishes and one of those is the only night we could get Hoop Dee Do

I agree that 4 is a lot. It's one reason why I am glad to be going during a holiday week next year. I'd rather the no parties/extended hours week.

well i just never thought there would be on monday , tuesday, thursday & friday
i booked back in january

Did you look at the prior year's schedule? It was probably very similar to that.

I know when we went in early December for years there were always 4 Christmas parties per week.

Yeah, unfortunately, the week of Columbus day they always add a party on that Monday (Columbus day), making it a heavy party week.

well it just stinks
i guess i will have to just spend more time in the other parks
oh well
at least now i know for next time if i ever come around this time

FWIW, we are frequent October visitors and have always had to deal with the party schedule. MK is much less crowded on party days than it is on party days. If you can swing the price of hoppers, I'd plan on starting your day in the MK on a party day and then hop to another park. On a non-party day, do the opposite...start in a park not called MK and then hop to MK in the evening for the nighttime stuff. You'll avoid the biggest crowds and be much happier overall than if you try to go to the MK only on non-party days.

Jeez, it seems like the first response to these threads is always "OMG DID YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OMG?!?!?!"... the fact is not everybody is as obsessed with researching and planning as most of us are, and I am not going to fault someone for being frustrated or tell them they should have gone back for the past year or five and researched historical dates, maybe created a planning algorithm that would have predicted party dates for the next three years. The OP is frustrated and as they said, just wanted to vent. I get it.

ya i hardly ever go back & look at previous years for the schedule of parties
i just book my vacations when i tend to get a good deal or can get off from work or i always book a time of year that i know my children wont miss too much work at school

i will be in disney oct 9 to 15
there are 4 parties scheduled while im there
i think that is crazy it just seems unfair
just had to vent

We're going around that time too! Why not go to MK on Wednesday that week? If I'm not mistaken, I think there are extra magic hours that day also. We're going to MK that Sunday and on Thursday too, but since I live near Disneyland, we might do Epcot for a second time instead.

I am a frequent October and December visitor. The parties are always scheduled and I think have averages 4 per week. I generally look plan to go ar RD on a party day, and later in the afternoon on a nonparty day. It works for me.

People understand that the OP is frustrated, but while most of us sympathize, we know that there is information all over regarding the parties and schedules. You really do need to do a little research if you do not want to be blindsided.

My point is really that these responses don't really help the OP, who plainly stated they just wanted to vent, and therefore just kind of come off as an opportunity to point out that you know more about Disney than they do. To what end?

ETA: I apologize if my post came off snarky. I was perhaps a bit too harsh, but I've just seen so many threads go like this, and while I've been tempted to make similar comments in the past, I've been trying to be more mindful, lately, of whether the words I have to say are helpful to the person with the problem/issue/desire to vent.

I think if someone is venting there is not much that can be posted that would be truly helpful.
