I personally don't know enough about this, but is there any way to deposit those points into an II search for next year? Looking for somewhere you are interested in visiting of course. I would guess there's another $95 fee involved.

Ok - this may not be a popular answer, but what if you got to the cruise and let them know of the illness then. They are sooo concerned about communicable illnesseses that they often force people to WDW instead of the cruise if they've been recently ill.

It's a risk but would likely work.

This might sound heartless, but your DS will be well in time for your cruise. Your grandparents are our PARENTS age and if every time we have had a health scare with them and cancelled a vacation we would not have left in the past 15 years. If I were you I keep my original plans. None of your ailing loved ones would want to to cancel your trip because of them. Believe me - been there done that. Just my two cents worth.
