Too Many Credits?

Just wondering - does it seem like there are too many credits available for the game? Especially credits from games outside of VMK?

I ask because I remember the days when credits were more difficult to get. Daily credits runs and the games within VMK (Pirates, Safari and Fireworks) were the only ways to get credits for the most part. Now, it seems like it is easy to rack up credits.

Whenever the next items come out, players will be able to buy many multiples of items than before. That is fine - I will do the same. It just seems that credits are almost too easy to get. (Of course, I should have been buying green flips last year instead of trying to figure out what would happen when I collected all of the Hidden Mickeys!).

Any thoughts?

I think things are much more expensive now, you need more options to earn more credits. The magic, new outfits and ride tracks rack up alot of credits quickly. Too many credits is a good thing in my opinion!

You'd be surprised at how many people are still short on credits. I am "VMK rich" right now only because I am good a fireworks. If I weren't , I wouldn't have half of the credits I have.

There are still lots of people out there with little or no credits- even with extras in games.

Some just aren't into the games- or lack the skill or computer capabilities to score and get the credits

And if lots more 10,000 credit items pop up then there will be those who couldn't get them-

I have a friend who didn't get a bat magic because he didn't have credits for it- and although he could have earned them- he had several major projects plus a sports tourniment with school that kept him off the game for a long while around when it was sold- so I am currently holding one for him- although I have told him I'd give it ahead of time- while he earns the credits and is taking me shopping lol

So yeah credits are pretty big- for the people who get them... but not everyone plays as much fireworks as I do... I mean an hour of play and I have about 10,000 or more credits (if I don't win lol) so I do have a lot of credits

But not everyone does- my dd for example can't play pirates or fireworks, she has done "ok" at haunted mansion- but still relies on music mix and nedding for her primary source of self earned credits. And DS has even fewer- and lacks the ability to do much without help lol

I have yet to reach too many credits... not sure what that number would be... :rotfl2:

I just broke the 100,000 mark with the chair a thon but that doesnt seem like enough, heck I spent more than that on my Nightmare Mountian.... I am kicking myself for buying 5 bats too... I really only needed a 2 star for myself, and I hate trading... lol

Thankfully they have left the credits for games up... 66.7 games of pirates is 10,000 credits... (Learned that for Bat) and I do keep trying fireworks (it isnt bad if I get fifth, but that is a challenge for me, most days!)

Why do I want a lot of credits... To build more ride rooms, and to finish up my game rooms (and offer great prizes) but that means I have to NOT SPEND any, and keep earning them. LOL

I am wondering if VMK wouldn't rather have us earn the credit than just to create mules to get credits. I played alot of pirates to get ice and suddenly I have more than 10,000 credits!

I remember someone saying that the new extra credits were added to hopefully discourage the use of mules...

I honestly don't think there's enough credits if they're going to continue to put out really expensive items like Bat Magic. And now some people are saying the new magics are going to cost probably upwards of 10,000 --- maybe even 20,000?! That's insane. The majority of people who are able to buy multiple items are adults. Everyone knows the hardcore, rich gamers are adults :rotfl: lol. But honestly, if you're not good at the games, you won't be able to get enough credits to buy even one of those special and expensive items. And even then, you have to have the time to play the games! Considering how most kids have a limited amount of time on the computer, I don't think most of them are able to afford the new things without some help from the older players.

I do not think there are too many credits...still not eveyone can play the outside games, and/or the in VMK games and earning credits is still a slow process.

My Main character has about 40,000 but I still do not have one of every item available in the game.

I think that until credits are even easier to accquire that you will see items selling on ebay for anywhere from .99-$400.00
which is crazy for a virtual item in a virtual game one that I might add Disney may get tired of and pull at any time!

I would love to be able to buy more stuff and decorate each and every room I own more but feel I need to save credits just in case VMK releases something I really really want and have to have!

I am completely capable of getting "too many" credits but I can't hold the attention span to play fireworks hour after hour. So I just play when I need to buy more stuff. I mean I want to play to have fun...not to spend all my time earning credits. :goodvibes

I would go insane if I had to play 66.6 games of Pirates  to be honest one game frustrates me. I can't ever get the boat to move where I want it.

Pirates is the one game I just can NOT play. Even though I would love to be able to play. I try every blue moon..but I just don't get it.

As for points...I say bring them on!! I agree with some of the others who have posted. Not everyone can get tons of credits every day. I just met someone who was struggling to get enough credits to buy film so he could finish the latest Hidden Mickey hunt. But says that all he does is get his NPC and plays music and then hangs out in some of the rooms. Why? Because he can't seem to get the hang of any of the games. I am trying help him out with tips, but for him the games are not what VMK is to him. He was upset that he didn't have enough credits to get the new Bat magic, but he got over it.

Then you have to look at the people who have slow connections to the internet. Not every one has DSL, Broadband or Cable connections. Some out there are still using dial-up. Or they are on very old computers that can't handle the processing speed needed to play the games. I use to not be able to play Fireworks at all, and could barely play the Jungle Cruise on my old computer...but have no problems at all on my new one.

I think they should make up even more ways for people to get credits that don't rely on the games.

Uh, NO!!!! :rotfl2:

Ok -- me too!! :confused3

I like the extra credits in the game now, but sometimes I wish the difference between the fireworks game credits and the other games wasn't so vast. Oh how I wished I was good at fireworks when I was trying to earn bat magic for my sister and I... SO many games of pirates were played... If it wasn't for the ice incentive I don't think I would have ever made it...

:wave2: Hello, my name is Andrea and I'm addicted to virtual ice cubes...

It's only been a day and I'm already going through withdrawl here... pirate:

Oh, and I think you should get more than 20 credits if you actually do well in Jungle Cruise. I really want to try for that tent room, but there needs to be more than just just that...

Let's assume that vmk is first and foremost a marketing tool to get people into the Disney parks, to go to Disney movies, to cruise on the Disney ships, and to buy Disney merchandise. Happy (not discouraged) players will want to come back again and again to play vmk. An hour spent playing vmk is an hour exposed to this marketing. We are happy when we can earn enough credits to buy the vmk goodies, so vmk is giving us lots of new opportunities to earn credits. They occassionally offer up a few highly desirable items (eg, bat magic and costumes) at high prices so we will keep coming back to vmk to play the games to earn enough credits to buy the goodies. Happy vmk gamers become happy Disney customers!

one word- inflation(i think i used that right lol)
