my dh has just made a very valid point thats causing me some concern now !
whos going to sit alone ?

i know on most rides its not a problem but on expedition everest etc where they are all tall enough to ride but who sits alone ? do i trust the kids enough to sit together without a adult / wil they be scared on there own ?

They won't insist that each child is sitting with an adult. Put your two youngest, one with each of you and you will be fine, as long as you are happy with the child or children sitting alone. My DD and I have been using single rider queues since she was 8 or 9 and nobody has ever batted an eyelid

for the larger rides where we dont feel comfortable letting the kids sit on there own then will we be able to use the parent swap thing , while one parent takes each child on the ride individually and i wait with the non riding children

the problem gets worse though the oldest just 7 as we leave is the really soft scaredy one !! no way he will ride anything alone !!

Let the kids decide. Maybe 2 of them want to ride with each other, and the other one with one of the adults and the other adult rides alone. As long as you are all close together, everyone should be fine.

Actually, you can do rider swap in Disney for most major attractions that have a height restriction. You just go to the CM at the entrance to the ride(sometimes this will be the fast pass attendant), unless there are directions posted otherwise, such as with soarin, where you go to the desk near the ride queue. You tell them you want to do a swap and they give you a rider swap pass. They can also instruct you on exactly what the procedure is, bc if you are like us, the first time we did it, we had no idea how it worked.

Yes they do! we used it all the time in May! you ask for parent swap pass as the first lot goes on and when they come off the second set go in the fastpass queue! the beauty of it is each parent swap is for 3 people so my boys got to go on all the rides twice each time!

Just bear in mind you can only use this if the child is below the height requirement NOT if they are just too scared to ride.

OP, if your youngest is 7, you might find that some of the rides where they might be too scared to sit alone, they might not meet the height requirements anyway. Certainly the younger ones might not, meaning you can use the child swop option.

The only ride I think you will have this issue is Everest. BTMRR & Splash you can both sit 3 in a row. TT is 3 in a row, MS is 4 so you can split 3/2, TofT can be 5 at the back or a 2 & 3. Space is all singles behind each other.

With Everest I would put 2 kids together, one parent with other kid and a parent on their own.

As Wilma Bride said the child swap is only for children under height

I think space mountain and expedition everest will be your only problem, all the others you can it 3 in most rides. What we did was one adult would take the 2 smallest in the row with them and the other would take the biggest.
