Too late for Best Rate

I just found out that a friend's daughter's school will be in the CP on Friday December 9 and it's too late for the best rate. Do I have any other options as a AP holder for getting a discount on a room for that night. I would need to use ME, so I have to stay on site. I'm staying at VWL afterwards but I'm willing to change my flights out to see my friend.

No the only way an AP holder can get a discount at this time is through the best rate program.

You could try getting an AAA discount, it won't be as good as best rate but at least it isn't full price.

Thanks, I called and there are no rooms available at a rate that I'm willing to pay. I'm going to rent a car, $27 for the day, and make my own transportation.
