My DD is a very compassionate little girl. She would make a wonderful nurse. She loves helping people, and is very touchy. I don't like touching people, so being a nurse would be out for me.
She is also very good at giving me neck/shoulder massages. I have told her many times, she could grow up to be a massage therapist. It is one of her career choices.
Driving home tonight, the kids and I were talking about what they could do for a job when they are old enough to work. Well, one of them mentions more than one job, so now they are all trying to top each other, and work at many jobs..here is some of the conversation:
DD7: When I work, I am going to work at the Lodge, I will be a teacher, I wantt to be a nurse, and I will work at Wendy's
Me: Well, that is a nice plan, but you need to factor school in there. If you are only going to be 16 you will still have to go to school. There won't be enough hours in the day.
DD7: I am not going to be 16 when I work these jobs, I am going to be 20!
Me: Well, you'll still be in college then.
DS9: What if she doesn't go to college?
Me: If she wants to be a teacher, she needs to go to college. If she wants to be a nurse, she needs to go to college. If she wants to be a massage therapist, she needs to go to college.
DD7: I'M NOT GOING TO BE A MASSAGE THERAPIST!
Me: (confused) I thought you told me you want to be a masage therapist when you grew up?
DD7: Yeah, until I found out I would have to massage HAIRY BACKS!
OMG! I could not breath I was laughing so hard. I guess massage therapy is out as a career choice.
