Too early to plan for 2012, or am I just bored??

I'm in agreement with all the other posts here. Friday (1/21/2011) starts my one-year countdown to our next trip.:yay:

I love whittling down all the possibilities; On vs. Off Property, discounts vs. "free" dining plan, Universal days or not...etc...etc...etc....!!

Well I have to get back to it now, again, again, again. :surfweb:

Be careful wookie. Those Warcraft people are hardcore. I've seen heroine addicts go through less withdrawal than a Warcraft person seperated from his realm :surfweb: :scared1:

We both play, but he is more hardcore than I am. He studies the mechanics of his character class as much or more than I study for school (I decided to go back and get a computer programming degree.) Although some might consider me hardcare. When we are raiding, we spend 4 hours a night 5 nights a week in a raid. That doesn't include other play time where we are doing other things in game. We aren't raiding right now, but we do play every night, and all day most weekend go days. Honestly, I would probably go through withdrawls if I couldn't log into my account and see my green pigatil little gnome for a week. When I though I lost my character, I cried for a week.

Looks like we're arriving on the same day as you guys! :)

I really can't wait. Is it so horrible for me to wish this year away? Or maybe I just need to plan a short trip in 2011!

Right now I'm just thinking of where to stay and what to eat. :surfweb:

I know. I really just want this year to fly by! :)

I'm trying to start some basic planning, but we don't have a confirmed number yet. It'll probably end up being a Grand Gathering which should be interesting!

Do you plan to stay onsite?

Yes, we plan on staying onsite. In 2010 when my husband did the half marathon we stayed at POP, it was so convenient to the Sports Center. This coming year will be different because it's not just the two of us, it's my in-laws as well. Not sure what the plan will be!

All I really hope for is warmer weather in 2012. It was so cold in 2010, he was running in sleet/snow. Which for us isn't that bad because we live in New England, but on vacation in Florida, we were hoping for something warmer!

Anyone planning for February 2012, we've got a thread going on the "Doing the Happy Dance" forum HERE!
Come join us in the planning process. :goodvibes

Hi everyone,

Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are planning April or June 2012. This is a big year for us. Our DD graduates 5th grade, my husband is finishing his Master's Degree and it is my 15th wedding anniversary. We are planning to stay at POR this time. We have never been there but I told myself once it gets refurbed I would.
We are thinking about moving to Florida so we might take some time for job hunting.

Happy planning everyone.

I can't believe how quickly 2010 flew by!! Jan is almost over with... and in a few more months, we'll be able to book our trips!! Before you know it, we'll all be split up into individual month threads!! It'll be here before we know it!! :dance3:

I hope your right.

We've decided when we were going!! We are going to go the week of my oldest son's 15 birthday. The first part of the pregnancy with him was wonderful, but then I had blood pressure issues. He was born at 32 weeks and only 4 pounds. It was a very stressful couple of weeks and, while I was in the hospital, I just kept thinking about one day taking him to WDW. We're going to leave November 10th. I'm not sure who long we're going to stay, but I would like to stay the 10-17. I'm not sure where we, but I would really like to stay at the WL.

I'm going stir-crazy waiting to be able to actually book the land part of our March 2012 Land and Sea trip. We're planning a few days at the park, followed by a 5-nighter on the new Disney Dream. I wish the new value resort was going to be open by then, but does not look to be the case. May splurge on the resort, but I am still undecided. Wish I could start planning now. Open, open, open! :)

letthewookiewin - That was about the same time we went this past year and it was AWESOME! If I could go every year, early - mid November would be my first choice everytime.

We went in March for our first trip and it was great weather. Well except for the first day there, which was the only day we had set aside for the water park, and it was 60F. The "heated" water was so cold that my 5 yr old was shaking too hard to walk on his own. I just hope that there are some decorations up.

Hi All,

Planning a trip in October 2012 to WDW to celebrate my 50th birthday and I was wondering if anyone else has planned this far ahead previously, or am I just crazy/bored???

Pete

I'm planning a November 2012 trip. Maybe I'm crazy or bored, also? :thumbsup2

You aren't crazy or bored. You are just going to be well prepared.
I just have cabin fever, and I think I'm going . We're not used to this kind of weather in North Texas. The farthest I have been away from the house since Monday is our front yard. Planning a WDW trip helps a lot.

Add me to the list of 2012 planners. We are going back in January again. I just can't stay away. I am already trying to decide where to stay and whether we should do a split stay and the dining plan. I have to keep my eyes on the menu's to make sure they don't change too much... oh what a life, or lack of one, I guess.... Wouldn't have it any other way!

We're planning our May 2012 trip! We ended up getting two free nights at a value resort (which we stay at anyways) because when we went a month ago the magical express lost my bf's bag and then it 'magically' appeared (and there were a few other minor things). We were hoping to use the voucher on the Art of Animation but we're not sure if it will be open. We want to try May because January was too cold. The lines were super short, but we honestly don't mind waiting around a little in the sun. :cool2: We're planning for the third week. Any advice? Would the second week be better?

Does anyone else flip-flop about details of there trip as much as I do? November 2012 just seems so far away, we were last at WDW Oct 8-13, 2006. I had originally thought about going in January for my yougest's bday (he'll turn 13) and mine. I read on another thread that Snow White's Scary Adventure may be closing early 2012, and I would really love one more ride on that before it closes. Now I have to weigh going in January and getting to ride SWSA one more time vs. going in November and having more spending money.

We're on the 2012 train too. We are planning on going in June/July of 2012. My DS is gettng married in May and my DD will graduate from college in June. We are going for a big celebration!!

Tinkbell615 were are in the same time from as you !
End of June into early July - 10 days in the parks with the crowds, rain in the afternoons and heat. We can not wait.

We are waiting for AAA rates to come out summer of 2010 - so we can snag one for POFQ.

We are saving our Disney Visa reward dollars to use at WDW in 2012.

Yes we are sort of planning. New 2011 guide book purchased to catch up on changes since our last visit in 2007 :goodvibes

We also watch any Disney park specials on the Travel Channel:happytv:

Other than that - not much.

We can not get ADR's till December 2011. so we look at some menu's :surfweb: online and see if we like any of the new places to eat.

When we return to WDW - everyone is now over 16 - so we can finally do the KTTK tour. :goodvibes

Have fun planning !

Sorry to be the barer of bad news Wookie, but I think they are shutting down Snow White for good THIS Spring as part of the Fantasy Land refurb. They are going to turn it into a 1 stop meet n greet with all the princesses.

Sorry.
