I know many of you are not fans of Tony's but we are going there mostly for the Lady/Tramp atmosphere. That being said, what are the best dishes that are available there? Someone out there must have had a good experience or two that they can make some food recommendations. :)

TIA

Michelle

We love Tonys. It is a must do when we visit the world with the kids. I usually get the steak. It is very good. The atmosphere is nice - I like eating on the porch especially if there is a parade anytime during your meal or eating in the "sunroom". It has always been a pleasant experience for us.

We did't like it when we ate there, but I think it is the pasta sauce. We have friends who eat there and love it, they have steak or maybe a tenderloin dish I believe. The salad was great! I would just stay away from the spaghetti sauce and you should be fine:)

I know Tony's gets a bad rap and I am reluctant to defend it because if everybody liked it we would have a harder time getting reservations there ;)!! But Tony's is the one restaurant we eat at every trip (its not our favorite but its in the MK and we are always happy with the food), I get the steak which is great and my better half gets the fish or Gnocchi. Kids like it too.

I agree with this. We didnt like the food there at all, it was quite gross. I also think the pasta sauce killed the dishes we ate. most ppl that have enjoyed their meals ate stuff like steak, calamari, and flat bread. So maybe stick with those and you'll be fine? Just stay away from the pasta sauce (marinara). Its inedible.

In the past we had never considered Tony's because of the bad reviews. But we decided to give it a try a few trips ago and we're glad we did because we have enjoyed our meals there. FWIW, I always get the chicken parm.

Are you going for lunch or dinner? We're not big fans of dinner there, we've gone a few times. It's a must-do every trip for lunch though. The meatball sub is my fave! :goodvibes

I'm also a huge Lady and the Tramp fan so I maybe love the atmosphere more than the food ::goodvibes

I've had the NY strip at Tony's-its very good. Others in my family have had the lamb and shrimp scampi and said it was good. My son had Chicken Parm and asked for alfredo sauce instead of marinara and he liked it. And the Pistachio Creme brulee is excellent. Love it!!:thumbsup2

We love Tonys and usually order the same thing every time..calamari, caesar salad, shrimp scampi and spaghetti and meatballs....its always great!

I had the spaghetti and meatballs and I agree about the sauce - they were light on it and I just didn't like it. But the meatballs were good and the spaghetti was not over or underdone. I also had the garlic bread which was great! My BF had the steak which he said was good, but it was small. If we were paying OOP, it's hardly a $30 steak.

I had the caprese salad as an app and the chicken parm, and I loved it. We're going back on our next trip at DD16's request.

Just ate there is September. My GF enjoyed her steak. My chicken parm was on par with Olive Garden. (make your own call on that). The pistachio cremebrulet was very good. The best part was the outside seating for the parade.

We really enjoyed Tony's when we ate there in December. We were pleasantly surprised after all the negative reviews. I LOVE the zucchini fries for an appetizer. I do agree to stay away from the spaghetti and sauce. There are plenty of other good options. Enjoy!

THis is a must do for us since it is our traditional arrival night dinner. It seems their tomato sauce is a bit on the sweet side (which my spouse likes) but if that's not their thing, best avoid it. I usually get the fish or shrimp scampi and am always happy. The wedding soup is actually pretty good as well.

We have been told by a couple of CMs that they don't reccomend the veggie lasagna unless you need a vegetarian dish. Make of that what you will, but we've never ordered it based on that comment.

When I had dinner there in August 2010 I ordered the Shrimp Scampi but without the Asparagus and I thought it was very good.

I wouldn't say it was my favorite restaurant but we've always enjoyed it when we go. I've ordered the shrimp scampi and it was good. My DH & myself have also ordered the chicken parm (at different times) and it was good. No its not the best chicken parm ever & I make sauce myself at home but I wouldn't call it inedible at all, its on par with Olive Garden quality. Good but not great.

We got the chicken parm and pistachio creme brulee....really enjoyed the meal!!! Great service!

Last year we had to cancel a reservation due to an issue with the kids. So we ended up getting another reservation at Tony's at the last minute. I remembered reading all of the negative reviews -- to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised. When we go again next year, I'm planning on going to Tony's again.
