What has everyone's experience been with Tony's? I went about three years ago and I think I remember it being good. I am trying to decide between Tony's and Crystal Palace for dinner our first night. I have never been to Crystal Palace. I know by DD4 princess: would love the Crystal Palace but I want something nice for our first night. We are taking my MIL and FIL, they have never been to WDW. Any suggestions.

we were there in July... Tony's that is. and we liked it.. it wasn't the best italian we have ever eaten, but plenty good enough. On the other hand, last Oct. we had lunch at CP, and did not like it much at all. In fact, I have not liked any buffets at WDW, and I generally like buffets. I would choose Tony's over CP any day!

We were there about three week ago. Ate dinner there. Not good. Steak tough and full of gristle. Came with three french fries and one spear of broccolini. We asked for more broccolini -- got one more spear.

I had the same entree. I don't think it was bad, but it's far too ordinary considering the menu prices. My wife also thought her shrimp scampi was fine, but nothing special. I had heard the negative reviews, but didn't mind taking a chance with credits from the free DDP. I don't regret trying it, but won't go back. (Same thing with Whispering Canyon.)

The decor at Tony's is nice, and the location is convenient. But I wouldn't recommend it.

I say go for CP!!! Especially if it's first on the list--you can get good pictures with Pooh and Friends without standing in long lines. Sorta get them out of the way!!! The buffets are pretty good-not to die for, but good enough. My kids all loved the mac & cheese- and nuggets so they were happy!

We tried it last year in late September as one of our meal plan options. We thought it was very good. My 2 young boys both had noodles (with sauce on the side of course!), and my wife had lasagna. I had a shrimp diavolo that was good. We had a triple play dessert (3 desserts in mini portions) that were very good. I would say it's better then a chain restaruant like Olive Garden, but not as good as a local mom-and-pop Italian restaurant.

We did enjoy the decor, kind of a victorian setting and Lady and the Tramp were playing on the screen in the lobby for the kids to watch. The dining area was nice -- and there was plenty of Lady and the Tramp memoribilia in the dining room.
