What would your priority ranking be as a suggestion for dinner? We haven't been to any of them before & like to try new restaurants. We have somewhat of limited options for meals usually because we don't eat red meat or pork. What would your recommendation be?

Liberty Tree has a great menu, but the options are hearty and contain red meat/pork (for the most part). Tony's has a wide arrangement of pastas and pizzas which have a questionable reputation in the park. Skipper Canteen has many interesting fish and chicken dishes that are quite tasty. Lastly, many consider The Plaza to be a hidden(ish) gem of the Magic Kingdom. It has great American cuisine in an awesome location at the end of Main Street.

Personally, I would recommend Skipper Canteen, as they have a large variety of dishes that you probably haven't had before. I've had good experiences there before, and I'm sure you will too. Happy Dining!

I would also suggest Skipper Canteen. I'll admit I haven't tried it but based on your limited options the menu seems great. I've done Tony's and wasn't impressed...it was ok but I don't find a need to go back. I've also done Liberty Tree and liked it very much but it probably doesn't fit your menu preferences that well. Haven't tried the Plaza.

:confused3 How can someone who doesn't know you or your food preferences make such a recommendation? None of the places you mention are bad, except maybe Tony's. Look at the menus. Which one appeals most to you?

Tony's gets a lot of bad reviews. We avoided it for a while based on bad reviews. Last year we decided we wanted to try it for ourselves. We enjoyed it and we would eat there again. Our meal was good and the service was good. It was extremely busy there for a place that gets so many bad reviews. We had to wait about 15 minutes passed our reservation time. I've read a lot of reviews comparing it to Chef Boyardee, but it was quite the opposite for us. Perhaps we caught them on a good day.

We enjoy Tony's and have dinner there every trip. Some members of my family have food allergies and get pasta with just sauce and no meat. We like the desserts as well.

DH and I plan our meals before we plan anything else, because we consider dining as part of the entire WDW experience.
We dined at Skippers the second day it opened because it was a new experience- I have a copper mug as a reminder of a nice lunch. We had appetizers, entrees and desserts without ever going near meat, although we didn't realize it at the time. The menu is purposely daring, exotic and out of the box. Just don't sit in the Mess Hall- a little too cafeteria feeling. The two smaller rooms are more intimate. Walk around and check out the whole areas decorations - read the bulletin board before you leave- cute stuff!
LTT has a great salad called The Colony Salad. I think it had chicken on top. We like the calm atmosphere and great service( yes,we do share the famous dessert, ooey gooey toffee cake). The guilt only lasts a few seconds........
We've never eaten at the Plaza, but it gets consistent good reviews . We've also never eaten at Tony's. There just seemed to be more interesting places.......

I think they are busy because of there location and view of the parades. Many people don't look at reviews and just go there cause of the location and the movie in which in which it's from.

Ranking would be 1) LTT 2) Tony's 3) Plaza 4) skippers. We haven't tried skippers so that's why it's 4. :) That might move up here in a few weeks.

Be careful, though - - I think these are just lunch options. Dinner is all you can eat (meat, turkey, fixins that you'll be paying for but not eating) , and the cake is just at lunch.

That may very well be the case, but we did have a surprisingly good meal there. We had read the reviews but just had to try it for ourselves. We may have caught them on a good day. Perhaps they are not very consistent and we just got lucky. I may regret it, but I would go there again based on my last visit.

Given you aren't looking for red meat or pork, I'd go with Skippers Canteen. They have some great seafood options and we really enjoyed our meal there. Definitely different than the other choices. We enjoy the plaza and liberty tree tavern too, but the former has a lot of meat options and the liberty tree thanksgiving dinner thing doesn't appeal to me (though lunch is great)

I would do skipper canteen. Just got back yesterday and I had their sustainable fish chefs dish and it was wonderful.

We had lunch at Skipper Canteen a few days ago and it was one of the best meals of our trip. I would happily return!
