Tonys or Plaza??

We much prefer Tony's. In fact it's a tradition in our family that Tony's is always our first Disney trip meal.

We have eaten at both. We've always had a good meal at Tony's, but we prefer Plaza. Yes, it may not be as much "bang for your buck" with the dining plan, but after all the "heavy" meals we have at other restaurants (LeCellier, Biergarten, Boma, Crystal Palace, etc.), we enjoy a simpler meal of a burger, reuben, grilled chicken or whatever with a nice, cold chocolate shake and a great hot fudge sundae! The Plaza has become a MUST DO for us every trip.

I agree with this entire post.

My vote is for Plaza....didn't like Tony's at all. I can't wait to try the ice cream!

We're trying the Plaza for the first time in Sept, just because it was the only restaurant available that night (MNSSHP night). I wasn't too thrilled at first, but am now looking forward to it, because it is the only restaurant at MK that we've never eaten at. We will be on the DxDDP. What do they have for appetizers there?

To the OP: I've eaten at Tony's three times and have to say it is hit or miss. We've really enjoyed our last two meals there, but three years ago my meal was not edible. Calamari was not done (crust was still snow white in color), my chicken parmisan was literally burnt black, and the cake was so dry it would choke you. However, my mom had a great meal. The last two trips (last one this past May) was very good though, except again the lemon curd cake was so dry and stale you couldn't eat it last Sept. The amaretta cheesecake was delicious though. My husband had a steak there last September that he said was delicious. This past May I had a wonderful tomato/mozzarella salad appetizer that was huge and absolutely wonderful.

Dh and I always go to the Plaza.

We didn't have much money on our Disneymoon so we spent our week at Pecos Bills, Electric Umbrella, etc. Anyway, at the end of the week, we both said that we were sick of Fast Food Burgers and went to the cheapest TS restaurant we could find. We got sandwiches and milkshakes, and it was wonderful.

Just say "no" to Tony's! It was the only terrible experience we had....even the waiving of the charges to our DDP really didn't "fix" the issue that dinner was inedible, we had hungry cranky kids and wasted our time at MVMCP....

We love The Plaza. The food is very fresh and it's pretty good. It doesn't take as long as a traditional TS place so we get the feeling of sitting down and relaxing but we are back to the park a little quicker.

I really like the atmosphere in there too. It's not fancy but it just feels relaxig to me.

Nope.. 1/2 Swedish 1/2 French Canadian... Can anyone tell me if Tonys compares to Mama Melrose..???

Yes, they are both bad.:) I know some people like them but I have had horrible service and not the best food from both.
