I honestly did not like it there. Liberty Tree Tavern is great if you want table service in the MK. If you are looking for table service anywhere, I would suggest looking in a different park. Epcot has some great ones, as well as Hollywood Studios. It all depends on what you are looking for, menu-wise.
Tony's is one of those restaurants that has really split opinions. People either love it or hate it. Personally, I love dining at Tony's. I've never been disappointed with the food that my family ordered. The theming (Lady & the Tramp) is just adorable. The menu offers a great selection. The biggest downside is that they limit their menu during free dining. My family found that really disappointing.
I also like being able to have a good TS meal & remain inside the park. If you time it just right, you might view a parade while you dine!
I guess it's always going to be a personal choice. I really like the food at Tony's. Rather than the traditional Italian food that Tutto's serves in Epcot I find Tony's to be more "American" Italian if that makes sense?
Personally I like Tony's for lunch, I love their meatball sub. They also do chicken parmigiana and the classic meatballs and spaghetti (both I believe ar available for lunch or dinner) which is keeping in the theme of the restaurant.
Liberty Tree Tavern won't be the same for me for dinner without the characters but their lunch is very good and I also think that The Plaza restaurant does a great range of sandwiches for lunch and then if you like buffets then I think the Crystal Palace is great for lunch or dinner and comes with characters but not sure if you have done any of these before, given that you are looking for something new to try?

Yeah, we've done CRT, CP and LTT. CRT food was HORRIBLE....atmosphere was great. I didn't enjoy CP at all for dinner. I do like the breakfast buffet though. I agree with the post above...LTT won't be the same without the characters. I thought about maybe hoping on the monorail and going to the CR...or even GF. The only place we've eaten at CR is CM and the only place at GF is V&A. What do you guys recommend at those resorts for us? (remember...we are including a 6 yr old...but as long as he either has pizza or chicken fingers he should be good! LOL)
We ate there in Nov. We didn't have a reservation and still got a table for lunch. It was great. We got a table out on the porch; it was a beautiful, sunny day. We had mary Poppins to watch and the Main Street band walked by twice.
Food was good. We had the chicken parm & the ziti. Both were outstanding. Desserts were great too. I had the ice cream bomb. It was a treat!
We are going back there for lunch during our Feb. trip. This time I made a reservation; just in case!
We're having dinner there two weeks from tonight So I'll let you know. We are really hoping to be able to watch Spectro from our seats if we get there earlier enough for a good table.
I've decided to take the opinions of the DISers for what they are - opinions. If something sounds good and it fits into your schedule and where you'll be, then go ahead and try it. Worst that can happen is you won't go back.
We just ate lunch there and liked it. Check out the second link in my signature and you'll see my review there. We had very good service, liked the atmosphere, and were happy with our meals... although I think I'd probably try a different entree next time.

I ate there twice, 10 years ago and just last month. My opinion has stayed the same. This is a safe restaurant to choose for pasta and meatballs/sausage but it is not a restaurant (again in my opinion) that warrants trying out something out of the ordinary. I would also avoid eating here if you have other options. I'm not a restaurant snob or anything but thanks to my job I've eaten at some nice restaurants throughout the country and having your entree delivered within 2 minutes of the appetizers is just a big no-no. It happened both times my wife and I have eaten here and it annoys me to no end. The only reason we ate here again was we were attending the MVMCP that night. It does have a quaint atmosphere with scenes from the Lady & the Tramp.
